Chapter 249 Jackson, That Child Is Not Yours

"Let go, it's me." A deep, familiar voice sounded above her head.

Lillian finally realized that the embrace holding her captive was just as familiar.

The comforting cold pine scent of Jackson surrounded her; she had been too tense to notice it earlier.

She was totally relaxed, let go, and leaned into Jackson's embrace.

Jackson shook his bitten hand, his expression was filled with helplessness.

He asked, "Are you addicted to biting me?"

His chin hadn't healed yet, and now there was a new bite mark on his palm. The worst part was that Lillian had bitten the hand that had been injured by a bank card before.

The freshly healed wound was reopened by her bite, and blood spread across his palm.

Lillian grabbed Jackson's hand in shock. "I didn't bite that hard. Why is there so much blood?"

When she saw the blood dripping to the ground, she held Jackson's wrist and said, "Hurry up. Let's go disinfect and bandage it right away."

This kind of wound didn't require a nurse's attention. Lillian had bought iodine and gauze, and she treated Jackson's wound in the glass corridor between the outpatient and inpatient buildings.

As she applied the iodine to his palm, she realized the wound was a cut, not from her bite.

"How did this happen?" Lillian asked.

"Do you still care about me?" Jackson's lips curled slightly as he asked. He didn't answer her. Instead, he changed the subject. "What happened just now?"

Lillian looked up, her expression complex as she glanced at Jackson.

Jackson felt her gaze was a bit strange, as if she was looking at him.

He raised his hand to touch his hair, asking, "Is there something on it?"

Lillian shook her head and replied, "I'm checking if you are cuckolded."

Jackson laughed, raising his hand to pinch Lillian's chin, his eyes darkening.

"What do you mean? Did you betray me?"

Lillian patted his hand away and retorted, "We're divorced. How could I betray you? It's your darling, Ms. Sivan."

Jackson frowned, and Lillian took out her phone, adding, "I recorded something. I'll show you, but don't get too worked up."

Jackson scoffed again. "Maybe you should get me some emergency medicine first."

Lillian rolled her eyes and handed the recorded video to Jackson.

As soon as he opened it, the camera was shaking, and no one was visible, but there were two strange panting sounds.

Jackson looked up at Lillian with a wry smile, "Are you showing me a sex scene?"

Lillian was so embarrassed that her toes curled. After she quickly glanced around, she was relieved that no one was nearby.

She hurriedly turned down the volume on her phone and snapped, "Just watch it carefully!"

At that moment, Wendy's voice sounded, and the camera found its focus, revealing the scene.

Lillian had recorded the video with her hand outstretched, so she couldn't see who the man was.

She hadn't had time to watch the video after recording it.

She was curious and leaned in to watch, but before she could see clearly, Jackson pulled her into his arms and covered her eyes.

"What are you doing!" Lillian shouted and tried to pry Jackson's hand away, but he held tight.

He leaned down and said angrily next to her ear, "Lillian, who taught you to go around filming people's sex scenes? Did you see anything?"

Jackson's voice carried displeasure and questioning, leaving Lillian confused.

What did he mean? Shouldn't he be angry at Wendy right now, furious even? Why wasn't he blaming Wendy for deceiving him, but instead, he was questioning her? Could it be that even after all this, he was still biased towards Wendy?
