Chapter 148 Ms. Frane Is in Trouble

Lillian moved out of Barry's apartment in the afternoon with Shirley, and Shirley returned to the set in the evening.

Lillian felt unwell and went to bed early. She quickly fell asleep, but her body felt increasingly heavy and tired, like in a desert, hot and thirsty.

Struggling to wake up, she realized she had a high fever. Her limbs were weak, and she barely managed to reach for her phone under the pillow, instinctively wanting to call the emergency contact.

Before her fingers could press the button, a message notification sounded. She opened it and saw the photo.

Jackson was lounging in a leather chair at the club. His neck was tilted back, his shirt was unbuttoned, and his noble and elegant profile exuded superiority.

Not far from him, a girl in a short skirt was stealing glances at him. She was pure and innocent and looked like a college student.

Lillian was very familiar with that kind of look.

Once, she could only secretly look up at Jackson with that kind of gaze in the dark. She chuckled hoarsely, and her phone slipped from her hand.

In a daze, she couldn't tell how long had passed when she was startled awake by the vibration of the phone again.

She groggily answered the call and placed the phone to her ear.

"Lillian, don't forget to come watch the race tomorrow. Do you need me to pick you up? Lillian?" After a moment of silence, Kevin heard heavy breathing instead of Lillian's response, furrowing his brows.

"Kevin, I feel terrible." Lillian's muffled voice came through, surprising Kevin.

"Where are you? Hello? Lillian!" However, there was no response from the other end of the phone.

Kevin had already showered and was getting ready for bed. Now he quickly got up and went to the dressing room. He changed clothes in a hurry and then called Jackson.

To his surprise, no one answered Jackson's phone.

At the club, Wendy arrived and stopped a waiter before entering the private room. She gave a few instructions to the waiter and handed over three hundred dollars to him.

As she entered the room, she saw Jackson still sitting in his previous position, with a woman in a white skirt trying to get close to him.

Wendy walked over and coldly said, "Get away. He's not a man you can touch!"

The woman in the skirt was a bit unwilling, but seeing Wendy and thinking of the online rumors, she bit her lip and walked away.

Wendy was about to sit in that spot, but Jackson suddenly opened his eyes. "This seat doesn't belong to you either." His eyes were cold, showing little signs of drunkenness.

Wendy froze, feeling wronged and embarrassed. As she leaned to sit down, she accidentally fell into Jackson's arms. "Jackson, you scared me."

Before Jackson could push her away, Wendy sat up on her own, showing concern. "Gray texted me saying you drank too much. I was so worried about you. Can I get you some water to drink?"

She leaned over to pour water, but Jackson had already stood up, exuding a more frightening aura than before, and walked outside.

Wendy stood up in a panic and said, "Jackson."

Gray and Mike also walked over, and Gray said, "Jackson, Wendy is so concerned about you, you..."

Before Gray could finish his sentence, Jackson raised his hand and pressed it forcefully on Gray's shoulder, causing Gray to stagger with his whole shoulder numb.

Jackson let go and walked away.

Gray held his injured shoulder and said, "Why is Jackson so angry? I still have two fight scenes to shoot tomorrow. Has it been dislocated??"

Mike said, "Let me see."

As Gray released his hand, Mike slapped it hard, causing Gray to wince and raise his hand to push Mike away.

Mike avoided and said, "No dislocation, but you need to be more careful. If you keep getting into trouble like this, it won't just be a dislocation next time." He made a throat-slitting gesture.

Outside the private room, Jackson walked out quickly with a sullen face.

Wendy arrived, but Lillian didn't. The implication was clear enough, and it made Jackson's heart feel as if it had been covered in frost.

Wendy hurriedly caught up and followed him step by step. "Jackson, wait for me."

Jackson suddenly stopped in his tracks. "Don't follow me!" His voice was stern, startling Wendy, whose eyes turned red, not knowing how she had provoked him.

At that moment, Terry hurried over, and Jackson instructed, "Take her back."

However, Terry said, "Mr. Frane, Ms. Frane is in trouble."
