Chapter 802

Lillian and Jackson entered a small reception room together, and Jackson immediately turned around and hugged Lillian.

He hugged her tightly, and Lillian, who was still closing the door, was pulled into his arms from behind.

Lillian was startled and quickly shut the door tightly.

"Let go quickly, someone might see us!"

"So what if they see? It's not illegal for me to hug my future wife."

Jackson's voice was low as it pressed against her shoulder.

Next to the reception room was a glass wall, and outside, people were coming and going. Lillian could even see Briar craning her neck to look in their direction.

Lillian's heart was racing. She lowered her head to pry Jackson's hands from around her waist and said, "Jackson!"

Hearing that she was a bit annoyed, Jackson finally let go and straightened up, taking a small step back.

Lillian turned around, intending to ask Jackson to sit down, but Jackson looked at her carefully and asked, "Are you mad?"

Lillian pointed to the sofa and said, "No, you need to behave and be mindful of the occasion. Stop being so handsy, or I will get mad."

Seeing that she didn't understand his meaning, Jackson didn't move aside.

"I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about those videos and photos that are spreading around, and all the gossip."

He was so angry when he saw them that he almost smashed everything on his desk. How could Lillian not be upset?

Jackson cautiously added, "I've already asked Terry to investigate this matter thoroughly. The sudden widespread dissemination can't be a coincidence. Once we find out who did it, I'll make sure they are severely punished."

Jackson bent down slightly, staring intently at Lillian.

Lillian was slightly taken aback, "That matter? I'm not mad about that."

But Jackson didn't believe her. How could Lillian not be mad? He was furious.

Lillian couldn't possibly not be mad. Pretending not to be mad must mean she was upset with him, distancing herself from him, and pushing him out of her world, refusing to open up to him.

Jackson felt a bit panicked, his handsome face losing some color.

"Lillian, you are mad. You must be mad! You can hit me or scold me! Just don't ignore me, okay?"

He had just started to feel a glimmer of hope, getting a little closer to Lillian. If he were pushed back to square one, he would go crazy.

As Jackson spoke, he didn't wait for Lillian to respond and hugged her tightly again.

He hugged her so tightly, as if he wanted to keep her close to his heart to calm his uncertain feelings.

Lillian fell into Jackson's arms and blinked.

"Jackson, can you..."

"No! You are mad."

Lillian wanted Jackson to believe her and explain that she really wasn't mad at him.

But Jackson seemed convinced that she was very mad, not listening to her, and even interrupting her, hugging her even tighter.

Lillian felt his suppressed emotions. Her clear eyes flashed with a bit of helplessness, and she raised her hand to hug him back.

Just as she was about to speak, the door to the reception room suddenly opened.

"Lillian, this is about the annual meeting..."

It was Quincy, with Briar, both holding project materials as they pushed the door open.

Lillian quickly pushed Jackson, but before he could let go, the door to the reception room closed again.

Before the door closed, Quincy exclaimed, "Sorry to interrupt, please continue."

After the door closed, Briar's suppressed scream could be heard.

"Did you see that? They were hugging so tightly! Mr. Frane is clearly in love with Lillian!"

Lillian was helpless.

Jackson, however, wasn't embarrassed at all. He even chuckled in Lillian's ear.

Lillian blushed and pushed him, "If you don't let go, I will really get mad!"

This time, Jackson obediently let go of her and even helped her straighten the collar of her slightly disheveled silk shirt.

"I've let go, so don't be mad, don't be mad about anything."

Lillian was completely exasperated with him, "I'm not mad! Go sit on the sofa, I need to open the door."

Jackson smiled, crossed his long legs, and sat down on the sofa area, looking composed and indifferent, as if he hadn't just done something out of line.

'What an actor.' Lillian thought to herself as she hurried to open the door and let Quincy and Briar in.

Lillian had just instructed the two to come over and discuss the project with Jackson.

Jackson was particularly approachable towards Quincy and Briar, asking about the arrangements and details of the annual meeting, and even provided some new ideas for the process.

At that moment, Cecilia walked in with coffee. She first crouched down and then turned her waist to place the coffee in front of Jackson."Mr. Frane, your coffee."

Her voice was soft and delicate, making Lillian's scalp tingle.

Lillian glanced at Cecilia and saw her twisting her waist, her pencil skirt almost bursting at the seams.

But Jackson didn't even look at Cecilia. Instead, he picked up the cup of coffee.

Cecilia was thrilled. She had just touched the handle of that cup.

She hadn't expected the legendary Jackson of the Frane family to be so handsome, far more striking than in those blurry videos.

Before today, she didn't know such a perfect man existed in the world.

Thinking that she had indirectly touched Jackson, Cecilia's face turned red.

Her eyelashes trembled as she shyly and expectantly looked at Jackson, "Mr. Frane, be careful, it's hot."

However, before she could finish her sentence, she saw Jackson place the cup of coffee in front of Lillian.

Hearing her words, Jackson immediately said gently, "It's hot, wait a bit before touching it."

Cecilia bit her lip, and Briar, who was watching, saw Cecilia's changing expressions clearly and guessed her thoughts.

Briar rolled her eyes and reminded, "Cecilia, hurry up and get Mr. Frane a new cup of coffee."

Cecilia snapped back to reality. When she went to give Jackson another cup of coffee, she adjusted her squatting position, moving slowly.

As she raised her hand to offer the coffee, Briar, seemingly impatient, grabbed a cup of coffee herself.

Their movements collided, and Cecilia's coffee spilled all over her.

Cecilia stood up with a scream, looking extremely embarrassed.

Briar frowned, stood up, and apologized, "Sorry, you were too slow, I didn't see you. It wasn't intentional."

Cecilia's face turned red. She glared at Briar, quickly placed the coffee down, and ran out in a hurry.

Briar turned around and met Lillian's somewhat helpless gaze, and immediately shrank her neck.

Jackson didn't stay long. After asking a few questions, he got up.

Lillian saw him off. As soon as they entered the elevator, the office was abuzz with gossip.
