Chapter 368 Suspicion
Shirley dropped Lillian off at the dance troupe's building.
Before Lillian got out of the car, Shirley curiously said, "I wonder if Jackson drank that nourishing soup."
Shirley felt very amuzed.
Lillian smiled. She thought, 'Jackson usually doesn't even eat fish. If he really drank it, he'd be miserable.'
"Aren't you worried?" Shirley stared at Lillian, blinking.
Lillian's expression paused. Yesterday, she and Daisy argued over a bowl of soup, and Daisy reported it to Jackson.
If Jackson cared even a little, he should know what that soup was.
If he still drank the soup today, it would only show that he didn't care about this matter, and he deserved it.
Lillian raised an eyebrow and spread her hands, saying, "Feeling sorry for a man will bring me a lifetime of bad luck. Isn't that what you said?"
"Exactly." Shirley laughed heartily.
Star Group.
Jackson stepped out of the bathroom.
His expression had returned to calm, completely hiding his earlier distress, but his ashen face and gloomy demeanor was worrying.
Terry stood on the side. Thinking about how he had just persuaded Jackson to drink more, he felt a chill down his neck.
"Find out where my mom bought it and cut off her supply channel!" Jackson ordered coldly.
Terry quickly responded and left with his head down.
At this moment, Daisy's call came through again.
Jackson's eyes turned cold as he answered, and Daisy's dissatisfied voice came through once more. "I wasn't finished talking. Why did you hang up? I'm at the Peace Mansion, and Tina said Lillian hasn't been staying here recently. Lillian is pregnant. If she doesn't like staying at the Frane Mansion, she should come back to the Peace Mansion. I'll bring the supplements over. Tina is a very reliable person who can take care of her. How can you let her stay outside at this time? She's young and inexperienced. How can she take care of the baby in her belly?"
If it weren't for the last sentence, Daisy would seem very concerned about Lillian.
Listening to Daisy's words, Jackson felt another wave of nausea in his stomach.
Jackson said coldly, "Stop making the soup. I've already had Terry cut off your supply channels!"
"What? I'm doing this for you. You can't do this!" Daisy's voice grew sharper after a moment of shock.
Jackson interrupted her, "You know very well whom you did it for! Mom!"
Jackson put the emphasis on "Mom", inexplicably distant and sarcastic, with a hint of warning.
Daisy's face turned slightly pale, and her breathing became heavier through the receiver.
Before she could speak again, Jackson added, "Stay out of our business from now on! And stop bothering Lillian."
With that, he hung up directly.
Daisy gripped the phone, her wrist trembling with anger.
After hanging up, she tried to calm down, and Tina quickly brought her some water, advising, "Mrs. Frane, don't be angry. Actually, there's something I don't know if I should say."
"Just say it!" Daisy ordered.
"Actually, Mr. Frane and Mrs. Lillian Frane have always used contraception," Tina said.
"Do you mean there's something wrong with Lillian's baby?" Daisy's face turned suspicious, and she sat up straight.
"I don't know about that, but I'm sure that either Mr. Frane and Mrs. Lillian Frane always used condoms or Mr. Frane would have her take birth control pills," Tina said.
Daisy's face immediately turned sullen. She thought, 'No wonder Lillian hid her pregnancy before and insists on going abroad. There's something wrong with this.'
Lillian's first day at the dance troupe went surprisingly smoothly.
Besides her, there were five other lead dancers in the dance drama, all of whom were passionate about dance and easy to get along with.
Although Lillian was the last to join, after a day of working together, she had already developed a good rapport with everyone through physical communication.
Lillian hadn't had this experience in a long time, and she felt joyful being with like-minded people.
Dancing made her temporarily forget all her troubles, so when she left the troupe in the afternoon, Lillian felt every cell in her body was soaring.
Thus, when Barry called and invited her to his place to see Philip, Lillian agreed immediately.
He then came to pick up Lillian and took her to his place.
Barry had been living alone for the past two years. His apartment, not far from the hospital, was quite big for him at 200 square meters.
"I wonder if Philip still remembers me," Before Lillian entered the apartment, she smiled and said. After all, it had been almost ten years since she saved Philip.
"He does." Barry opened the door and turned back, looking very confident.
