Chapter 366 A Lesson
Because Shirley suddenly broke in and made a fuss, Julian angrily got up and left.
York and Grace hurriedly chased after him. In the private room, Wendy screamed in frustration and collapsed, "It hurts! Lillian!"
She threw everything on the dining table to the ground, quickly alarming the surrounding guests.
Because they incited public anger, Wendy and the Sivans were directly kicked out of the restaurant by the security staff. They were embarrassed and disheveled.
More terribly, Elegance Manor had a deep background, so the guests who came were either wealthy or prominent.
As the Sivans made such a scene, it was conceivable that their chances of seeking investment afterward would be even lower.
York was furious. Upon returning home, he harshly scolded Wendy again, complaining that she shouldn't have thrown that bowl of soup at Lillian.
York slammed the door and left, leaving Wendy's eyes filled with crazed resentment.
She thought, 'It is all Lillian's fault! I am just helping Dad punish Lillian, but now I am the one being blamed. I won't let Lillian live peacefully! Given everything I have endured, I will make her endure as well.'
Wendy picked up her phone and dialed a number, snapping, "You must do as I say. Once it's done, you will get well-paid! But if you refuse, I'll tell your host about your betrayal. What do you think will happen then? What's the difference between betraying once and twice?"
The next day.
Lillian got up very early as she had to report to the dance troupe today.
She made a simple breakfast and ate it with Shirley before heading out together.
Unexpectedly, just as they reached downstairs, Anna approached Lillian with two bodyguards.
"Mrs. Frane, Mrs. Daisy Frane sent me to bring you some soup. Today, you mustn't throw it away again. Mrs. Daisy Frane instructed me to make sure you drink it all," Anna said.
Lillian's face turned cold. She hadn't expected that after smashing the soup bowl yesterday, Daisy still hadn't given up. She didn't even live at the Frane House anymore, yet Daisy could still send people here to disturb her.
Daisy was truly persistent.
"I said that if anyone dares to bring this soup to me again, I'll throw it in their face! Anna, do you want to try?"
Lillian stared coldly at Anna, but Anna was clearly unafraid and signaled to the two tall and burly bodyguards behind her, saying arrogantly, "Mrs. Frane, If you don't cooperate, then they will help you."
The two bodyguards immediately stepped forward, ready to forcibly hold Lillian's shoulders.
"You've gone too far! I'm still here, okay? If I don't teach you a lesson today, you won't understand that a pregnant woman should be treated with the same respect and care as your mother!" Shirley found the situation absurd. She rolled up her sleeves, raised her chin, and challenged the two bodyguards.
Lillian, understanding the situation, took several steps back, worriedly saying, "Be careful."
"Should I be afraid of them? They only dare bully women!" Shirley snorted.
"I mean, you should be careful with your strength. If they really get hurt, it will be troublesome," Lillian teased.
Shirley fell silent.
The two bodyguards felt belittled, exchanged a glance, and then angrily charged at Shirley together.
The sound of fists hitting bodies, accompanied by screams, echoed.
Five minutes later, the two black-clad bodyguards lay on the ground, bruised and unable to stand.
Shirley walked towards Anna, who was already pale and retreating in horror with the soup container.
Shirley snatched the container, lifting her foot, But before she could kick, Anna stumbled back in fear and fell into the flower bed.
"Lillian, go ahead and pour it on her." Shirley turned and waved the container at Lillian.
