Chapter 835

Lillian remembered her first days at Frane Manor, terrified of being alone, the dark, and thunderstorms. Jackson had always reassured her.

In the end, Jackson always kept her close, letting her stay in his room.

Her heart softened, and Lillian gently patted Logan's head.

"Forget it, Logan. Let's be the bigger person and let it go."

Logan looked at Lillian, who pointed towards Jackson and made a hugging gesture.

Logan's big eyes blinked, and reluctantly, he scooted over and extended his hand towards Jackson.

Jackson, pretending to be overwhelmed with affection, said to Lillian, "My girlfriend is the sweetest."

Jackson picked Logan up and wrapped his arm around Lillian's waist, the three of them almost glued together as they slowly made their way downstairs.

When they reached the dining room, the servants had indeed prepared a sumptuous breakfast.

Logan, at his age, was already starting to eat some solid foods.

Having just had his formula, Lillian asked the servant to bring a small bowl of porridge for Logan. She held Logan on her lap, blowing on each spoonful to cool it before feeding him.

"Mrs. Frane, let me take care of Logan. You should eat your breakfast," the servant said, glancing at Jackson for approval.

Lillian was feeding a baby for the first time, and it was quite enjoyable to feed such a cute little person.

Logan was very cooperative, his little neck following the spoon, his eyes fixed on its movement.

Though he couldn't speak, Logan had the potential to be a live-streaming sensation.

Lillian smiled and said, "It's okay. If you haven't eaten yet, go ahead. I'll feed him and then eat."

The servant looked at Jackson again, who nodded slightly, and then left.

Lillian's attention was entirely on Logan, not noticing anything else. She was about to feed Logan again when she felt her lap lighten.

Jackson had taken Logan into his arms, placing him on his own lap.

"I'll feed him. You eat," Jackson said in a slightly deep voice, taking the spoon from Lillian's hand.

"Be careful, blow on it so it doesn't burn him," Lillian reminded him before starting her own meal.

But Lillian soon realized something was off.

She didn't have to feed Logan anymore, but she ended up feeding Jackson.

Whenever Lillian finished a bite of her omelet, Jackson would say, "Looks tasty. I'm hungry too."

So Lillian had to pick up another piece of omelet and bring it to Jackson's lips.

When she took a sip of corn porridge, Jackson would say, "The porridge smells good. The more I eat, the hungrier I get."

Lillian then fed Jackson two big spoonfuls of porridge.

When she tried to ignore his hints, Jackson directly asked, "Lillian, I want that sandwich. I can't grab it right now, so feed me."

Throughout the meal, Lillian was kept very busy.

Meanwhile, Star had returned to the Price Villa. As she entered, Dominic was having breakfast.

The servant saw Star come in, looking disheveled, covered in blood and dirt, and screamed in shock.

Dominic heard the commotion and frowned deeply.

"What happened?"

"It's Ms. Price. Ms. Price is back, but... You should see for yourself."

A servant reported, and Dominic stood up from the dining room and walked out, just as Star came in.

Seeing Star's messy appearance, Dominic's frown deepened.

Star immediately started crying, "Dad, Lillian went too far. She and Jackson locked me in their dead son's room last night and tried to scare me. Even the guy I hired to take photos got beaten up badly. I..."

But before Star could finish, Dominic cut her off sharply.

"So, you accomplished nothing last night and let Jackson catch you red-handed?"

Dominic's gaze was severe, and Star trembled.

What could she say? She had indeed failed to achieve anything all night.

The photographer had fallen into Jackson's hands and had likely been interrogated, revealing Star as the mastermind. She had indeed been caught.

Dominic looked at Star, who was too scared to speak, and said coldly, "Useless! Where's Logan?"

"They wouldn't let me bring Logan back," Star said weakly. Dominic was furious and raised his hand, almost hitting Star's face.

But remembering the servants were watching, he lowered his hand to Star's shoulder instead.

"Jackson showed no mercy, treating you like this. Don't worry, Dad will make sure you get justice."

Dominic ordered the servants to call a doctor for Star and then said to her, "Come with me to the study. I'll help you treat your wounds."

Star forced a smile that looked worse than crying.

The servants thought Dominic was genuinely concerned for her, but no one noticed that his hand on her shoulder was gripping so hard it felt like her shoulder might break.

She didn't dare disobey and followed Dominic upstairs.

Once in the study, Star had just closed the door and turned around when Dominic grabbed her by the neck.

Star immediately struggled to breathe, her eyes filling with blood.

She looked at Dominic in terror and pleading until her eyes rolled back, and Dominic finally let go.

Star fell to the floor, coughing violently.

Dominic looked down at her coldly and said, "You couldn't even bring back a child. What use are you?"

Star finally caught her breath, her face still purple-red, and crawled over to hug Dominic's leg.

"Dad, it's not like that. I thought it would be better for Logan to stay at the Peace Mansion for now."

Dominic raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

Star quickly looked up and said, "Dad, Jackson has no goodwill towards the Price family. Logan is your grandson. I noticed Jackson doesn't hold a grudge against Henry, who passed away, because of Logan. Jackson cares about Logan.

If Logan stays with Jackson, it could be a bond for us. If they grow closer, it would be like having a way to control Jackson. Jackson values relationships deeply."

Star's words had some merit, and Dominic's expression softened.

"Get up."

Star dared to stand up and followed Dominic to the sofa area.

Dominic sat down, and Star poured him water before sitting beside him.

"Dad, because of Logan, Lillian's child didn't survive. Logan lived, but Lillian's child died. I don't believe Lillian can truly care for Logan.

She called the police at the hospital just to create a perfect image in front of Jackson. Who knows what she'll do in private? If Logan gets hurt under Lillian's care, Jackson will definitely have conflicts with her. It just depends on whether you're willing to let Logan suffer."

Dominic looked at Star coldly, "It's because you're useless that we have to rely on a child to endure such hardship!"

Though he was scolding her, it was clear he agreed.
