Wendy's expression shifted dramatically, her lips quivering as if she was on the verge of interrupting Jackson.
But Jackson's cold, deep eyes silenced her.
"Jackson, what do you mean? What's she trying to do?" Susan asked, her voice shaking.
There was too much to process, making her dizzy and confused.
Dominic figured it out. He angrily yanked Wendy off the hospital bed and slapped her twice.
"Not only did you find a lover, but now you want the Price family to raise a child of unknown origin! How can you be so cruel!"
Wendy's cheeks swelled red. She screamed and fell to the ground, hair disheveled.
Jackson said, "Wendy, you didn't want to give birth to a child with defects, so you planned to use today to have an abortion.
"You bribed Gabriel to perform the surgery and then lie that the child was saved.
"You'd become my mother's savior and produce an 'heir' for the Price family, fulfilling your plan.
"Gabriel confessed everything. Do you need me to bring him here to confront you?"
Listening to Jackson's merciless voice, Wendy trembled, feeling it was all over.

She knew arguing was pointless. She raised her tear-streaked face and wailed, "What could I do? The doctor said the child would be born with defects. I'm a mother too, and it breaks my heart! I hid it from you all, thinking it would be better for the Price family to have a healthy child. As long as you didn't find out the truth, it would be a kind of comfort!"
Lillian was stunned, looking at Wendy.

Lillian looked at Dominic, who was furious, his body trembling.

Jackson signaled Harry to take Wendy away and stepped forward to comfort Susan.
Wendy was dragged out of the ward, and Lillian, not wanting to stay in the ward any longer, followed them out.
Wendy's face was pale, her body weak, but she stared at Lillian with bloodshot, hateful eyes.
