Chapter 635
Casimir yanked on Daisy's skirt, yelling, "Mrs. Daisy Frane, you promised you'd have my back if things went south!"
"Get off me!" Daisy struggled to break free.
Jackson just stood there, watching her with a cold, panicked look, unable to do anything.
"Casimir botched a surgery five years ago, and Daisy helped cover it up. Now, she's using that dirt to blackmail him into sneaking into Bob's hospital room to shut him up. If that's not enough, the medical staff who worked on Jeffrey can confirm he used Taylor's umbilical cord blood!"
Jackson's face was stone-cold, but his eyes were icy as he spoke.
He got up from the couch and slowly walked towards Daisy.
Daisy couldn't handle the pressure, backing up until her legs gave out and she collapsed to the floor.
Jackson's shadow loomed over her, and Daisy was terrified, thinking he might pull out a gun and shoot her right there.
"Honey! Honey, help me, I didn't mean to!"
Daisy crawled frantically towards Martin.
Martin squatted down and grabbed her arm. "Did you really do it? Why would you do something like this?"
Daisy burst into tears. "I didn't think it would go this far. I just asked Bob to find a way to make Lillian give birth early. I never thought he'd go so far as to kidnap her and run people over!"
"You're so stupid! That's our grandchild!"
Even though he didn't like Lillian, Taylor was still their first grandchild.
Martin had even told Lyra before that he wanted Lillian to give up custody.
But Daisy cried and said, "I had no choice! Jeffrey's bone marrow match drowned half a month ago! But Jeffrey was already in the sterile chamber last month. If he couldn't get the transplant, he'd die!"
"How does a perfectly healthy person just drown?" Martin frowned.
Daisy choked up. "I had someone watching him, taking good care of him. How was I supposed to know he'd sneak out in the middle of the night and fall into the river?"
Lyra had been silent, but now she couldn't hold back her anger and threw her cane at Daisy.
Lyra shouted, "That bone marrow match was found by Jackson after a lot of effort for Jeffrey. You didn't take care of that person, and when something went wrong, you covered it up and then targeted Lillian! You're heartless!"
The cane hit Daisy on the head, and she clutched her forehead.
"Mom, I just wanted Bob to scare Lillian into giving birth early. I didn't expect her to hemorrhage, and the baby to be in trouble. At over seven months, it should have been viable."
"Shut up!" Lyra shouted angrily.
Daisy trembled in fear and closed her mouth.
Lyra stood up and said to Jackson, "Jackson, handle this however you see fit. I'm going upstairs to check on Lillian."
"Mom! You can't just leave like this." Daisy's face turned pale, and she said urgently.
Martin also frowned. "Mom, even though Daisy made mistakes, she did it to save Jeffrey."
They were anxious because they knew that in the Frane family, Jackson would listen to Lyra to some extent.
If Lyra left, given Jackson's cold nature and his dissatisfaction and indifference towards them as parents, he would certainly not let Daisy off easily.
But Lyra didn't look back and went upstairs with Peggy's help.
Martin looked at Jackson and said in a deep voice, "Jackson, how do you plan to handle this? Before you do, don't forget, no matter what, she is still your mother!"
Even though his relationship with Daisy wasn't great, she was still his wife and the mother of Jackson and Jeffrey. He couldn't just abandon her.
He thought for a moment and suggested, "How about sending your mother abroad and not letting her come back for five years, okay?"
