Chapter 300 Who Told You That?

Jackson's thin lips pressed together slightly, and he asked, "Is it that important? That child won't affect our lives in the future."

Jackson frowned slightly. He clearly didn't want to bring up this topic.

He didn't understand why Lillian had to get to the bottom of it.

The child wasn't his, and the child wouldn't live with them in the future.

In a while, when the child was born, Lillian would naturally know.

She shouted with an aggrieved and angry tone and tearful eyes, "But the existence of that child has already affected our lives! I'm your wife. If you want me to accept your ex-girlfriend's child, you have to tell me why, right? Or is it that you still have feelings for Wendy, so you even want to take care of someone else's baby in her belly?"

Jackson's evasive attitude made Lillian angry again. She shook off his hand, stood up, and continued, "Wendy, relying on the baby in her belly, bullies me every day. Do you think she will settle down once her child is born? If you want our child to be her child's young sister, Wendy will keep bothering me like a ghost. I don't want to live like this for even one more day. If you keep this attitude, please let Taylor and me go. I just want a simple and peaceful life!"

Lillian's attitude was incredibly firm. Even though she loved Jackson and was reluctant to leave, she was tired and weary.

That wasn't the life she wanted or the future she hoped for.

After finishing her angry words, Lillian turned and walked away.

Jackson frowned, raised his hand, and grabbed her arm, pulling her back.

Lillian, out of control, stumbled a step toward him. Jackson, sitting on the edge of the bed, spread his long legs, trapped Lillian between them, and made her unable to move.

"Get up! You're so annoying. I'll hit you!" Lillian gritted her teeth, but Jackson held her clenched fist and frowned.

He asked confusedly, "Who told you Wendy is my ex-girlfriend? When did I ever have that kind of relationship with her? How come I don't know about it?"

Lillian was stunned, her mind blank when she heard the bombshell.

Her body relaxed unconsciously, and she stared at Jackson in a daze, asking, "Weren't you two already together abroad?"

Jackson had gone abroad to study at seventeen, and Wendy was sent abroad not long after.

At that time, Lillian and Jackson were separated by time zones and distance, making it hard to stay in touch. She felt Jackson was drifting further away from her.

It was also then that Wendy would occasionally send Lillian photos of Jackson at school, at parties, and at various events at the overseas branch.

She had usually talked about things between her and Jackson to Lillian.

"Lillian, Jackson will attend his graduation ceremony today, and he invited me over. All his friends and classmates will be there. Which dress do you think I should wear? I'm so nervous."

"Lillian, Jackson is about to officially take over the overseas branch. Do you think this tie is a suitable gift for him?"

Wendy had posted vague updates on social media, too.

Wendy: [Someone's birthday next week. It's the first birthday since we officially got together. I prepared my first kiss for him and hope he'll be surprised.]

The picture was of Jackson at work.

Lillian still remembered how helpless and embarrassed she felt when she saw that post.

She was in the college cafeteria, having just gotten her food.

Her hand shook, and the food fell to the ground, making a mess. Her leg got scalded by the food, and everyone was looking at her.

However, she didn't care about those strange looks or the pain. She squatted on the ground, holding her phone, crying her heart out.

Even when Jackson's birthday came, she refused to believe it and didn't want to believe it.
