Chapter 371 Barry's Baby

Barry rushed over upon hearing that, but he was still late. He looked at Lillian's pale and fragile appearance, feeling immense heartache and regret, and he blamed himself for not arriving earlier.

He thought, 'If I had just escorted her upstairs, she wouldn't have gone through such an ordeal. Having endured such humiliation, she must be very frightened.'

"It's okay, Barry. It's good that you came," Lillian said weakly.

At least it made her feel less isolated and helpless.

"It's Barry! Lillian, could the baby in your belly be his?" Daisy stared at Barry, who was helping Lillian up, frowning tightly, her face full of suspicion.

Lillian clenched her fists, glared at Daisy, and said coldly, "Yes, the baby in my belly has nothing to do with Jackson. Stop dreaming!"

She thought, 'My Taylor is mine alone. With Daisy treating me like this, I certainly can't let her have her way. She now cares most about whether the baby in my belly can save Jeffrey, so I deliberately provoke her. Drive her mad!'

"What are you talking about? Say what you just said again!" At this moment, Jackson's familiar baritone voice suddenly sounded from the doorway.

Lillian froze, and she slowly turned her head.

She saw Jackson, who had arrived at some unknown time. He must have rushed over, his chest still slightly heaving, exuding a cold air.

In the operating room, a sudden chill made the atmosphere eerily silent.

Lillian and Jackson's cold gazes met, and her heart was gripped by an invisible hand mercilessly squeezing it.

She hadn't expected Jackson to hear such words.

His reaction and gaze were genuinely ridiculous.

Daisy didn't believe her. Could Jackson also be doubting that Taylor wasn't his biological child? Or was Daisy's behavior actually condoned by him?

Lillian was too exhausted to argue anymore. Since he heard it, that was fine.

She decided to go all out, stubbornly raising the corners of her mouth at Jackson. "Fine, I'll say it again. Jackson, this child was never yours. Are you satisfied now?!"

The veins on Jackson's forehead bulged, and his sharp eyes became even more piercing like arrows.

"Jackson! You heard it all, didn't you?! She admitted it herself! She's utterly shameless! While you were busy working, she was fooling around with other men, being sent back late at night by Barry," Daisy shouted.

After the initial shock, Daisy finally reacted, almost exploding with anger.

But before she could finish, Jackson interrupted in a deep voice, "Shut up!"

Jackson's severe reprimand and his hawk-like, bloodthirsty gaze made Daisy's body tremble, her voice suddenly cut off, and she fell silent.

Jackson had already stepped inside, approaching Lillian.

Lillian didn't know what Jackson intended to do. She held onto Barry, pressed her wound in the belly, and said, "Barry, help me leave. I want to get out of here."

She had no strength left now.

Barry nodded, immediately supporting Lillian's arm, and wrapped his other arm around her shoulder.

Jackson watched as Lillian avoided him like the plague but relied entirely on Barry, his eyes filled with resentment.

Jackson blocked the way out, and Lillian looked up at him and said coldly, "The amniotic fluid has been drawn. You've got what you wanted. Can I leave now? Or do you want to wait for the DNA results and harm my child right here before giving up?"

Lillian's face was blanched, her forehead was covered in a fine sheen of sweat, and her body was wrapped in sharpness.

Jackson met Lillian's gaze, feeling as if a thousand invisible needles were piercing his heart.

He clenched his fists tightly, his thin lips moved slightly, but he didn't know what to say.
