Chapter 682
Gray frowned and snapped, "I'm not her man!"
Bianca, looking all worried, turned red with embarrassment.
Shirley chuckled, "Alright, you're not her man. You're her confidant, her lover, right?"
Shirley rolled her eyes and looked away.
Gray was so mad his eyelids twitched, while Bianca, still crying, said, "Ms. James, you crashed my party. I didn't say anything 'cause I knew you were having a rough couple of days. But how could you say that about us?"
She then helped Gray, her face full of gentle concern. "Gray, is your foot okay? Let me take you to the hospital."
Lucy was still there, so Bianca was worried she might spill everything.
Bianca was desperate to get Gray out, and Shirley gave her the perfect excuse.
Gray stared at Shirley, not breaking free from Bianca's support.
He didn't believe Shirley could be so indifferent, but Shirley clearly heard Bianca's words and didn't even turn her head.
Gray's handsome face darkened, and he stiffly turned with Bianca.
He had rushed down as soon as he heard Shirley was in trouble, but how did Shirley treat him?
He felt like his foot was being pierced, the pain igniting a fury that spread to his heart. Shirley was simply ungrateful!
"Let's go!" Gray said coldly.
Bianca was delighted and quickened her pace with Gray.
They had reached the door of the private room when Shirley suddenly said leisurely, "Wait a minute."
Bianca frowned, wanting to continue supporting Gray, but Gray actually stopped.
Gray turned his head, his thin lips slightly pursed, suppressing the urge to smile as he looked at Shirley. "Shirley, if you..."
Before he could finish, Shirley pointed at Bianca and said, "You can go, but she can't."
Bianca seemed startled by Shirley's fierce demeanor, her hand trembling as she held Gray's arm.
Gray said angrily, "Shirley, who do you think you are to give orders here?"
Shirley's face turned pale, thankful that the dim lighting in the private room probably hid it from others.
At this moment, Lillian reached out and firmly grasped Shirley's hand.
Shirley was always warm, just like her personality.
Ever since Lillian had a massive hemorrhage, her hands were always cold, and even a little less clothing made her arms cold.
But now, as Lillian held Shirley's hand, she found it even colder than her own. Lillian smiled slightly and looked at Bianca.
Lillian smiled faintly. "Things haven't been clarified yet, Bianca. Why are you in such a hurry to leave? Afraid that what you've done will be exposed and ruin your image?"
Bianca frowned, her expression innocent, confused, and aggrieved. "I don't know what you mean. Today is the first time I've met you and Shirley. We have no grudges. You two barged in and disrupted my party. What more do you want?"
Bianca's demeanor of enduring humiliation and being magnanimous made Lillian and Shirley seem unreasonable and aggressive.
Lillian's smile widened slightly, but it was devoid of warmth. "No grudges? Why did you mislead Lucy to target Shirley? Shirley was blackened online and insulted. Wasn't that your doing?"
Shirley's eyes widened in shock.
Bianca immediately denied, "This has nothing to do with me. Don't falsely accuse me. I only found out just now when Lucy barged in that Sarah is Austin's mistress."
Bianca looked at Sarah. "Sarah, you really shouldn't have done that. Have you slandered Shirley online too?"
Sarah, with a bruised face, was being held by two bodyguards brought by Lucy, her face streaked with tears.
She, understanding Bianca's unspoken demand, looked defeated.
Bianca wanted her to take the fall. She was just a small-time star under Horizon Hive Media, and now Lucy wanted to take her for an abortion. Her baby might not make it.
If she crossed Bianca, what would she do in the future?
Sarah could only admit, "It was me. I used Shirley as a shield. I know I was wrong, but I just wanted to protect my baby. I'm willing to apologize. Ms. James, I'm sorry!"
Bianca put on a heartbroken expression, "Sarah, you were so foolish."
Gray had just come in and hadn't noticed Lucy and her group. Now that he understood what was going on, he frowned deeply.
So, Shirley was really wronged, but he had clearly seen Shirley and Austin sitting together before.
He was a bit confused and instinctively looked at Shirley.
Shirley's face was full of mocking laughter, her eyes coldly staring at Bianca. "You are really lucky, always having scapegoats for your misdeeds."
Bianca's eyes reddened again, as she tugged at Gray's sleeve and cried. "I really didn't. I don't even know Ms. James."
Jenny, afraid of being implicated, also chimed in softly, "Jackson, it was Lillian and the others who barged in and caused trouble. I only argued with them for a bit, and I got kicked twice. Look at what happened to my new dress."
Star stepped forward and spoke gently, "It seems to be a misunderstanding. How about we let Sarah clarify this online and clear Shirley's name? Then we can all get along, okay?"
Star looked at Lillian, her smile full of cautious goodwill.
Anyone could see that Star was the one making peace and compromising.
These three women could really turn black into white.
Lillian looked at Star, genuinely wanting to say she was impressed.
Did Star have amnesia? Did she forget that the last time they met, she almost ran Lillian over with a car?
Lillian and Star were enemies, wishing to kill each other, yet here she was, playing the role of a good friend.
"Star is right. Since it's a misunderstanding, let's clear it up quickly and disperse." Gray frowned.
The most important thing now was to calm things down online.
Bianca's and Star's identities were not simple, while Shirley, with no background, couldn't afford to seriously offend them.
If things escalated too much, how would she continue in the entertainment industry?
Lillian clearly felt Shirley's hand tremble slightly.
Lillian tightened her grip, suddenly looking at Jackson beside her, and asked, "Mr. Frane, is that what you think too?"
Lillian's eyes were full of mockery, and Jackson felt a slight tremor in his heart from her gaze.
He knew Lillian thought he and Gray were both aiding the villains.
This perception made Jackson feel a heavy weight on his chest, but he couldn't blame her.
Because in Lillian's mind, at the Price Mansion last time, he was an accomplice to Star and her father.
Jackson's deep eyes fixed on Lillian, and he said hoarsely, "It's indeed framing and slandering. There's no misunderstanding. Gray drank too much and got confused. Don't pay attention to him."
Lillian was slightly stunned.
Jackson curved his lips gently as he continued, "Whatever you say, I believe you. Whatever you want to do, I support you."
Before Lillian could react, Jackson turned and instructed Mike, "Close the door. If this matter isn't resolved properly, no one can leave."
