Chapter 297 Who Did This

Lillian was prepared and grabbed Daisy's wrist.

Daisy tried to pull away twice but couldn't, so she got angrier and questioned, "Lillian, how dare you lay a hand on me?"

"Lillian, Daisy is an elder. If you're angry, vent them on me. Let go of Daisy." Wendy anxiously tried to persuade Lillian, raising her hand to pry Lillian's wrist but taking the opportunity to scratch her wrist with her nails.

Lillian felt the pain and let go of Daisy, causing Wendy to stagger several steps and fall towards the wall.

"Wendy!" Daisy was shocked and hurriedly called out to support Wendy.

Just before Wendy fell, Daisy caught her.

At this moment, the door of the nearby ward opened.

Jackson stood at the door, and he looked over with a cold expression. He clearly had heard the commotion outside.

"Jackson, look at what Lillian did. She's gone too far, even laying a hand on me. She hurt my wrist!" Daisy said, extending her hand. She lived a comfortable life, and her wrist's skin was fair and delicate, not worse than young persons'. Now, the marks from Lillian's grip were on her wrist.

Jackson frowned at it.

Seeing Jackson's expression, Daisy became more angry. She supported the aggrieved Wendy and pushed her towards Jackson, shouting, "Moreover, Wendy was almost pushed down by Lillian just now. If I hadn't reacted quickly, she would have fallen and had a miscarriage! Wendy has been recuperating in the hospital, and Lillian did this on purpose. Lillian was jealous of her! Tell me, Lillian was already divorced and planning to go abroad. Why did you bring her back?"

Wendy took two steps towards Jackson but didn't fall into his arms. Instead, she hurriedly stepped back and said, "Mr. Frane, don't misunderstand. I just happened to know you were hospitalized and bought flowers to visit. I didn't expect to make Lillian angry and run into Daisy. I shouldn't have come. I'll leave now."

She said this with grievance and turned to leave. Seeing her like this, Daisy was even more dissatisfied, saying, "Wendy, you're carrying Jackson's child. Why can't you visit him? You can't leave. The one who should leave isn't you!"

Lillian could clearly tell that Daisy was referring to her.

She had long wanted to leave.

Daisy was eloquent, and Wendy looked pitiful.

Jackson had seen Lillian push Wendy away, the red marks on Daisy's wrist, and the mess of flowers on the ground.

Everything in front of Jackson was proof of Lillian's arrogance and disrespect for elders.

Jackson already found Lillian unreasonable because she couldn't tolerate the innocent child in Wendy's belly.

How couldn't he not overthink after seeing the scene?

Lillian felt disheartened, a self-mocking smile appearing on her face. She didn't want to say anything and started to leave.

But just as she turned around, Jackson, who remained silent, took a stride forward and grabbed her wrist.

He held Lillian's right hand, the one Wendy had scratched.

Lillian couldn't help but cry out in pain.

Jackson's expression changed slightly, and he immediately lifted her hand to check.

Lillian's skin was very delicate. Jackson was always careful with his strength when touching her.

The scratches on her skin looked bloody and shocking.

A cold look appeared in Jackson's eyes, and he asked coldly, "Who did this?"

Wendy shivered for no reason and shrank behind Daisy.

Lillian's gaze swept over, and she looked at Wendy's guilty expression. Suddenly, she didn't want to leave anymore.

Lillian looked at Jackson with a smirk and pointed her chin at Wendy, mocking, "Her."
