Chapter 742

Lillian didn't even have time to react before Jackson tightly embraced her, his presence overwhelming her senses.

His voice, deep and laced with a smile, sounded in her ear.

If these words were heard alone, they might seem cheesy.

But coming from a man like Jackson, they carried a certain dominance.

Feeling the deep affection and sincerity in his voice, Lillian felt her heartbeat become uncontrollably erratic.

The car was extremely quiet, so quiet that they could hear each other's breathing.

Lillian worried that Jackson might hear her heartbeat. She raised her hand to push against his chest, her voice urgent. "You misunderstood, that's not what I wanted to ask at all!"

But Jackson seemed to have already decided that she was just too shy to admit it. He gently stroked Lillian's back and laughed softly in her ear.

"Lillian, you little fool, you can't even lie. I can hear your heartbeat."

Lillian became even more embarrassed and annoyed, pushing Jackson harder.

Worried about hurting her, Jackson let her go.

Seeing Lillian's face turn a shade of red, whether from embarrassment or anger, he lightly curled his lips.

"If you don't believe me, I can have someone pull up the parking lot surveillance footage right now." Jackson said as he reached for his phone.

Lillian didn't want to alarm the Star Group's security department over this and become the subject of gossip.

She had already embarrassed herself enough at Star Group today.

She quickly reached out to stop Jackson. "No need."

"So you believe me?" Jackson raised an eyebrow.

Seeing his determined look, Lillian nodded.

She thought the topic was over, but Jackson suddenly took her hand and gently kissed it.

"Thank you for believing in me."

He smiled at her, his lips still touching her fingers, his warm breath sending a tingling sensation through her nerves.

Lillian quickly pulled her hand back, "You're welcome."

She replied instinctively, and hearing Terry's muffled laughter from the front, Lillian realized what a silly thing she had just said.

She frowned slightly, annoyed, and turned to look out the window.

She thought the topic was finally over, but Jackson leaned in close to her again.

"The cufflink? Shouldn't it be returned to its owner?"

Jackson opened his palm, asking for the cufflink.

Lillian, already flustered by him, felt even more irritated. Regardless of the reason, the cufflink was with Star.

Feeling somewhat uneasy, Lillian said, "I already lost it."

Jackson was silent for a moment, then suddenly gripped her wrist tightly.

She was forced to turn and meet Jackson's intense gaze.

"Say that again!" Jackson's handsome face turned cold, the tenderness from earlier completely gone, replaced by suppressed anger.

Lillian didn't expect such a strong reaction from him. She was stunned and felt a bit guilty.

But having already said it, she couldn't take it back now.

She frowned and said, "The cufflink was a gift from me to you. I have the right to dispose of it. Even if I lost it, it's none of your business. Besides, we're divorced. I don't like seeing you wear things I gave you."

His late affection was pointless.

She always felt flustered by him, blaming herself for being so weak. It was an unpleasant feeling.

Jackson's face was extremely gloomy. He used all his strength to restrain himself from pulling her into his lap and spanking her like he used to.

Jackson closed his eyes and said in a deep voice. "You gave it to me, so it's mine! Do I need to explain property rights to you?"

Lillian was frightened by his cold demeanor and could feel his anger and urgency.

Thinking of the cufflink in her pocket, Lillian felt a bit regretful.

At this moment, Jackson suddenly ordered Terry. "Turn around!"

These two were sometimes good, sometimes arguing.

Terry felt nervous even while driving. Hearing the order, he immediately prepared to turn the car around.

Lillian was stunned and grabbed Jackson.

"Aren't we going to the restaurant? What are you doing?"

"Going back to find the cufflink," Jackson said coldly.

The cufflink was given to Lillian by Star in the Star Group parking lot. Even if she lost it, it must be at Star Group.

He stared at Lillian, "Where did you lose it? The trash can? Where?"

Lillian didn't speak.

Seeing Terry about to turn, Lillian didn't want to end up on the news for digging through trash with Jackson, so she had to give in.

She closed her eyes, "Don't look for it, I didn't lose it!"

Terry's hand on the steering wheel instantly steadied.

Jackson narrowed his eyes, staring at Lillian. "I don't believe you, little liar."

Lillian was about to say she would give it to him, but Jackson didn't give her the chance.

She was suddenly pressed down, Jackson's large hand pressing her shoulder down, the other hand grabbing her right leg and pulling it aside.

Lillian couldn't control her scream as Jackson pinned her down on the back seat.

At the same time, his body pressed heavily on hers.

Terry skillfully raised the partition and turned on the music, the volume at its highest.

In the cramped back seat, Lillian's eyes were filled with anger as she glared at Jackson. "Don't mess around, I'll find it for you."

"I already said, I don't believe you. No need to trouble yourself, I'll find it myself."

He held both of Lillian's wrists above her head and began searching her body.

But Jackson wasn't really looking for the cufflink; he was clearly punishing her.

His large hand moved from her collar down, deliberately exploring the most sensitive areas of her body.

Lillian was extremely embarrassed and angry, "It's in the right pocket of my coat!"

Jackson ignored her, breathing lightly in her ear.

"Still trying to lie to me? I think it's here? No, maybe here?"

Jackson's hand slid over her soft waist, moving between her legs.

Lillian was on the verge of tears, remembering a time when she lost the earrings he gave her, and he searched her body in the car, even stripping her.

The humiliating memory made her fear Jackson would go crazy again. She looked at him with pleading eyes.

"I'm sorry, I was wrong. I shouldn't have joked like that. The cufflink is in my pocket. Let me go, I'll put it on for you, okay?"

Lillian's voice was soft, almost pleading.

Jackson paused, feeling pleased that she finally spoke softly to him.

But he was also a bit annoyed, having no reason to punish her further.

Jackson's eyes darkened, "Who are you asking, okay?"

The car suddenly jolted, causing their bodies to rub against each other.

Lillian clearly felt his erection pressing against her.

Lillian panicked, "Jackson Frane."

"No, who are you asking, okay?" Jackson was clearly dissatisfied with the cold, emotionless way she said his name.

Lillian bit her lip, and after a moment, softly called out, "Jackson."
