Chapter 551 He Was Released

If he had known it was so easy to make her angry, he would have behaved better, and Terry could still be useful.

"He might have sent it to the wrong person. Why don't you add him back?" Jackson asked.

"I'm fine now. You should leave," Lillian said, starting to usher him out.

JJackson cherished every moment with her, reluctant to leave so soon. He took out his phone and tapped the screen. "Wait a minute, I asked Harry to look into Bob's situation, and he hasn't replied yet."

Lillian also wanted to know what was going on with Bob. She frowned slightly and didn't push him to leave anymore.

Seeing that she was ignoring him again, Jackson took the initiative to start a conversation. "Did Taylor get scared just now?"

"No, it's fine." Lillian shook her head.

"In case you run into Bob again—he's too dangerous—I'll have two bodyguards follow you for the next few days, and I'll hire a live-in nanny. Okay?" Jackson said solemnly.

She was pregnant, and he was already worried.

He had wanted to arrange for someone to be by her side to take care of her at all times.

A few days ago, Lillian was looking for a nanny, and he took the opportunity to send someone over. But unexpectedly, the nanny didn't stay long, and Lillian quickly realized that the person was sent by him.

Lillian directly fired and sent the person away. After that, she might have been worried that Jackson was still arranging people, so she stopped looking for a nanny.

Jackson was worried she would get angry, so he didn't dare to send bodyguards over rashly.

Seeing Lillian frown and remain silent, he added, "I'm not trying to spy on you. If you don't like it, they can follow from a distance and won't bother you..."

Before he could finish, Lillian nodded. "Okay, you can bring Eulalia back too."

Bob's current intentions were unknown, and with Lillian pregnant with Taylor, for Taylor's safety, she couldn't be willful about this matter.

Jackson's cold expression softened into a smile. Eulalia was the nanny he had sent before.

"Okay." He agreed, but before he could be happy for a moment, Lillian added, "List the costs for hiring the bodyguards and nanny, and I'll pay their salaries."

Jackson felt a pang in his heart. "We haven't finalized the divorced yet. Protecting you and Taylor is my duty as a husband and father."

Lillian shook her head slightly. "Once the divorce is registered, it's final."

"Fine," Jackson sighed, "then just consider it for Taylor."

"You've already paid child support. If you don't let me pay their salaries, I won't need your help!"

Lillian seemed indifferent to anything he said, as if nothing could move her.

Jackson's face darkened, and his clenched hand eventually relaxed as he said, "Fine, whatever you say!"

His tone was a bit angry.

Just then, Jackson's phone rang. It was Harry calling.

Jackson looked down, his eyes cold.

He didn't really need Harry's efficiency at the moment and wasn't in the mood to answer the phone.

People always liked to compare, and suddenly, he found Terry to be more likable than Harry.

But under Lillian's urging gaze, he answered the call and put it on speaker.

"Mr. Frane, I've checked. Two months ago, Bob had an accident at work. A steel frame collapsed. Bob saved a prison guard and got a reduced sentence, which is why he was released early."

Jackson's eyes darkened, and he instructed, "Find out if there's anything suspicious about this. Then have someone keep a close watch on him and teach him a lesson. Don't let him appear in front of Lillian again!"

Just downstairs, Bob said he came to apologize to Lillian, but Jackson didn't think Lillian needed it.

It was still uncertain whether Bob had truly reformed, but he was sent in by him. Without anyone informing him, Bob got a reduced sentence and was released.

This was very suspicious in itself.
