Chapter 319 A Similar Scene

The size of Lillian's heart was so small and filled only by Jackson. How could there be room to like anyone else?

Just as Lillian was about to think more deeply, the pain in her lower back, where she had been hit, flared up because of his sudden force.

Lillian winced, and she let out a soft groan.

Taken aback, he asked worriedly, "What's wrong?"

Lillian held her lower back and replied, "I hit it on the corner of the table in Susan's ward earlier."

Jackson asked urgently, "Does it hurt a lot? Is there anywhere else that feels uncomfortable? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

He bent down and picked Lillian up, quickly heading towards the elevator.

Lillian was startled by him and hurriedly said, "Put me down! You're still injured. I don't need you like this. It's just a bit of pain where I hit, and it's not my belly. I'm really fine!"

Jackson's wound was on his waist. After such a strain, his wound would definitely burst open.

Back in the ward, Jackson's wound indeed didn't look promising, and the bandage was stained with blood.

When the bandage was removed, Lillian finally saw the knife wound. Even though it had been stitched, it was still a bloody mess, so long, showing he had lost much blood.

Lillian's eyes immediately welled up with tears, her heart aching terribly.

Curtis finished treating the wound, took off his gloves, and said sternly with a frown, "Mr. Frane, your blood type is special. The blood supply in the hospital is limited, and you don't want to use it instead of saving it for others in more need. If that's the case, you need to be more careful yourself!"

Lillian nodded, looking at Jackson with reproach, but the next second, the blame fell on her.

"Mrs. Frane, you need to cooperate. Although you two are young and in love, you must moderate intense activities," Curtis added.

Lillian didn't react at first and nodded, then realized something was off.

She thought, 'Intense activities? Young and in love? Moderate?'

Lillian recalled Curtis caught her and Jackson kissing when Terry opened the ward's door, and her face instantly blushed. She shook her head continuously, but Curtis was no longer looking at her.

Lillian looked to Jackson for help, but he remained calm and even nodded to Curtis. "Understood."

After Curtis left,  Lillian glared at Jackson angrily and said, "You're not allowed to come near me until you're discharged!"

Jackson looked at her flushed face, smiling. "No. Come here. Let me see your lower back."

Lillian didn't move, saying, "It's fine. It doesn't hurt anymore."

Her avoidance made Jackson laugh.

He pretended to get out of bed to grab her, and Lillian quickly stepped forward and said, "Don't move."

Jackson pulled Lillian to the bedside, making her sit with her back to him, and lifted her shirt.

Her right lower back indeed was bruised. Jackson frowned and asked, "How did it get so bad? I'll get some ointment."

Lillian quickly stopped him and said, "No need. I bump into things all the time while dancing, so it's normal. The ointment promotes blood circulation and removes stasis, but it's not suitable for me since I'm pregnant with Taylor. Don't bother. It'll be fine in a couple of days..."

Before Lillian could finish, she felt a warm, soft touch on the injured spot on her lower back.

It was Jackson's kiss, gentle and tender on the wound. As Lillian realized that, a tingling sensation spread through her body along her spine.

The blush that had just faded from Lillian's face returned.

The air was filled with intimacy, but just then, a similar scene played out. The ward's door was suddenly pushed open.

"Jackson, I heard you were injured as soon as I got back, so I came to see you."

With the voice at the door, Lillian was startled, quickly pulling her shirt down and standing up.

She stood up too quickly, and Jackson, unprepared, was hit hard on his prominent nose.

He let out a muffled groan.

Lillian turned around to see Jackson raising his hand to his nose, and there was a trace of blood under his straight nasal bridge.

He was actually bleeding.
