Chapter 339 Rushed to the Hospital
Lillian's belly started hurting more and more, and she didn't even have the strength to stand up.
She could only desperately cling to Ambrose, hoping he could save Taylor.
Ambrose's gaze fell on Lillian's hand, which was tightly pressed against her belly. He frowned and bent down, saying, "Take a deep breath. I'll take you to the hospital."
Lillian was picked up, and she heard Ambrose's voice in her ear.
It was deep and penetrating.
Lillian guessed that he must be someone who often gave orders because his tone and manner were somewhat similar to Jackson's.
At this moment, she still thought of Jackson, and her heart ached and felt suffocated as if it were being torn apart.
She thought, 'I'm so pathetic.'
Lillian bit her tongue hard and followed Ambrose's instructions, taking deep breaths.
Ambrose had already carried her to the car, opened the car door, and placed her inside.
Nathan saw Ambrose carrying Lillian over and quickly moved to make space.
"What's wrong with her? Did she really get hurt?" Nathan asked.
Ambrose settled Lillian in and instructed Nathan, "She's having pregnancy complications. Take care of her."
After saying that, he slammed the car door and went to the driver's seat.
Nathan was a bit stunned and said, "What? Is she pregnant? Let me drive. I don't know how to take care of a pregnant woman! I was saving my first time for my beloved Lillian."
Nathan protested. At this moment, Lillian, who had been keeping her head down, leaned back against the seat, revealing a pale face.
"Lillian?" Nathan shouted. His eyes widened in disbelief, and he became completely flustered.
"Lillian, what's going on? How are you pregnant? No, I didn't mean it that way." Nathan was babbling incoherently.
He didn't know whether to ask Lillian what had happened and where she was hurting or if the baby was Jackson's, whom they had seen at the amusement park last time.
Perhaps he should mourn for a few minutes for his first love, which might end before it even began.
Lillian's abdominal pain hadn't subsided, and all her senses were focused on worrying about Taylor, so she naturally didn't answer Nathan.
Nathan anxiously pushed Ambrose and asked, "Ambrose, what do we do? Lillian looks like she's in a lot of pain!"
"Guide her to keep taking deep breaths, wipe her sweat, and give her some warm water," Ambrose replied.
"Drive faster!" Nathan urged. He took a tissue to wipe Lillian's sweat and comforted her, saying, "Lillian, relax. Followed my regular breathing pattern."
There was a hospital nearby, and Lillian was quickly rushed to the emergency room.
Outside, Nathan paced anxiously.
Ambrose looked at his nervous and worried expression, raised an eyebrow, and asked, "Is she the woman you said you wanted to bring home, the one who saved Ava at the bar last time?"
A few days ago, Nathan had boasted during dinner that he had a woman he liked and would bring her home next time.
At the police station last time, Nathan said it was Lillian who saved Ava, but Ambrose had only seen a silhouette that night.
So it was her.
Nathan nodded dejectedly.
Ambrose patted his shoulder and teased, "You're amazing, becoming a dad at twenty."
"Ambrose, what are you talking about? How could it be my child?" Nathan shouted.
At his words, Ambrose's expression softened slightly, and he added, "Then you're even more amazing, having the ambition to be a dad at twenty."
Nathan fell silent.
At this moment, Jacob came out and asked loudly, "Who's the husband of the pregnant woman?"
Jacob's gaze swept over the two men in front of him and quickly locked onto the older, more composed Ambrose.
Just as he was about to speak, Ambrose pushed Nathan forward and said, "Him!"
Jacob immediately focused on Nathan and instructed, "Come with me."
Nathan handed the small handbag he was holding to Ambrose and cautiously followed Jacob into the emergency room.
At this moment, the phone in the handbag started ringing incessantly.
Ambrose had no choice but to open the bag and take out the phone.
Lillian's real husband was calling.
