Chapter 833

For a moment, Lillian felt like she was looking at a little angel.

She couldn't bear to blink, and without realizing it, she smiled at Logan and then leaned down to kiss his cheek.

At that moment, Jackson's arm tightened around her waist.

Lillian's body moved backward, fitting more snugly into Jackson's embrace.

"I want one too," Jackson's husky morning voice whispered in Lillian's ear.

He wanted a kiss too.

Lillian distinctly remembered that Logan had been between them when they fell asleep last night, but somehow Jackson had ended up behind her.

Lillian turned her head and gently kissed Jackson's chin.

Overnight, a bit of stubble had appeared on his chin, tickling Lillian slightly.

Lillian found it a bit annoying and quickly pulled away.

Logan, soft and sweet in her arms, was much more adorable and kissable, like a fluffy cotton candy.

Lillian leaned down again and gave Logan two more kisses.

Logan was delighted, clearly enjoying the affection, and he shyly burrowed into Lillian's embrace.

His drool smeared all over Lillian's silk nightgown, soaking through the thin fabric.

Jackson propped himself up slightly, and from behind, he had a clear view.

Seeing Logan still snuggling into Lillian's arms, Jackson's handsome face darkened.

Lillian had already spent more attention on Logan than him over the past day and night.

Even waking up in the morning, she focused more on Logan, despite it being their first time sharing a bed since reuniting.

Finally, they woke up together in the morning light, and Lillian seemed to ignore it.

Not to mention, she gave Jackson a perfunctory kiss but showered Logan with many.

Now Logan was doing something even Jackson didn't dare to do.

Jackson reached out and lifted Logan from Lillian's arms.

By the time Lillian reacted, Jackson was already holding Logan and striding out of the room.

"What are you doing?!" Lillian hurriedly sat up and asked.

Jackson didn't look back, only saying, "He needs to be fed and have his diaper changed."

Jackson's long legs quickly reached the door, and he called out.

Soon, a servant responded from outside, and it was clear Jackson handed Logan over to them.

Then Jackson returned, closed the door, and walked back to the bed with a determined air.

Lillian was still sitting on the bed, dazed, and as Jackson got closer, she finally sensed the danger.

Instinctively, she tried to escape, but as soon as she lifted the blanket, Jackson grabbed her waist and pinned her down on the bed.

"What are you doing, stop..." Lillian's panicked words were cut off as Jackson's heated breath covered her lips.

At the same time, he pulled the blanket over them, dimming the light and creating a confined space.

The room grew darker, but the activity intensified.

When Lillian finally left the master bedroom an hour later, she opened the door to hear knocking from the opposite room.

Lillian turned back in surprise to see Jackson, impeccably dressed in a suit, following her.

His expression carried a satisfied look, more handsome and vibrant than usual.

Thinking about the intimacy under the blanket, Lillian averted her gaze, avoiding eye contact with Jackson, and pointed to the opposite room.

"What's going on? Is Star stuck in there?"

It was already past eight in the morning, and Lillian thought Star should have been up causing trouble by now.

Jackson glanced at the opposite room, his eyes cold as a blade. When he looked down again, his expression softened.

Jackson took Lillian's hand, gently massaging her slightly red fingers, and asked, "Are you tired?"

Lillian's ears instantly warmed up, and she kicked Jackson in embarrassment. "Talk business."

Lillian wondered if something had happened last night, why Jackson had locked Star in the room. Was he simply worried Star would cause trouble in the villa, or was there something else?

Jackson squeezed Lillian's fingers twice and said, "Let her out, and you'll see for yourself."

He made a call, and soon a bodyguard arrived with a key to open the opposite room.

As soon as the door opened, someone stumbled out. Disheveled, dirty, pale-faced, with blood on her forehead and lips. The woman who staggered out, looking like a ghost, was none other than Star.

Lillian stared in shock at Star, who was clutching the wall, unable to believe what had happened overnight to make her look like this.

"Ms. Price, are you okay?" Lillian's feigned concern made Star look up, and when she saw Lillian and Jackson standing together, her vacant eyes gradually focused.

She rushed forward, reaching out to grab Lillian. "Lillian, tell your baby to stop bothering me. I didn't hurt him, it wasn't me, it wasn't me."

Before Star's hand could touch Lillian, the bodyguard pulled her away. Star stumbled and hit the wall, looking up to see Jackson coldly watching her. His gaze was piercing and sharp, making Star break out in a cold sweat, her eyes trembling with fear, tears falling.

Lillian listened to Star's words and roughly guessed what had happened. She knew the room opposite the master bedroom was prepared for Taylor, and she had specifically let Star stay there. She wanted Star to see everything they had prepared for Taylor, to see if she had any remorse. But clearly, Star's reaction now suggested Jackson had done something.

Lillian stepped forward and grabbed Star's wrist. "Star, how guilty must you be to scare yourself into madness after spending one night in Taylor's room?"

Star met Lillian's hateful gaze, shivering before biting her tongue hard. The pain helped her calm down a bit. She had fainted twice last night and woke up twice. Each time she woke, she heard the sounds of a child crying and laughing. She distinctly remembered her slippers being soaked in sticky red blood last night, but in the morning, the doorway was clean, with nothing there. Even the slippers she had kicked off were clean, making Star even more terrified and desperate to escape.

"Lillian, I'm not guilty. I just hurt my forehead yesterday, and I was too angry about Logan's situation to rest well. I had a nightmare because I was too tired. You're overthinking it."

Star naturally wouldn't admit anything, and her explanation was plausible.

Lillian sneered, "Can you convince yourself with that? Star, I curse you to be haunted by nightmares every night!"
