Chapter 192 Is It Fun?
Lyra raised her hand to touch her nose, pulled Lillian behind her, and hummed,
"It's all because of you! I'm sure you know well how you end up being estranged from your loved ones! Besides, all of this was my idea, so stop scaring Lilian with your gaze!"
Lillian lowered her head, thinking it wasn't that serious. Although it wasn't her idea, she felt a bit guilty at the moment.
Jackson remained silent, withdrew his gaze, and walked towards the villa.
Lyra pushed Lillian a bit, asking, "Lilian, did I go too far? Can you go check on him for me?"
Lillian stayed silent.
Although she felt Lyra was being a bit unreliable at the moment, she knew that everything she did was for her.
She had responsibility for it, and she was worried that Jackson might be really sick.
After hesitating for a moment, Lillian nodded and quickly caught up with him.
Jackson walked fast, and by the time Lillian entered the villa, he was already upstairs, leaving a trail of water stains behind.
Lillian chased into the bedroom. Hearing some sound from the bathroom, she pushed the door open and asked hurriedly, "Are you okay?"
She didn't expect that upon opening the door, she would see Jackson taking off his coat and
throwing it on the floor, with his thin cashmere sweater halfway off, revealing his strong abs.
She panicked and closed her eyes. "I'll go out first!"
Just as she turned around, her arm was grabbed.
The next moment, Jackson pulled Lillian into the bathroom, pressing her against the wall.
Lillian's back touched the cold tiled wall, with Jackson's cold body in front of her. His large hand gripped her waist, sending a chill through her skin.
Her chin was held by two long, powerful, yet cold fingers, getting tilted up. "Is it fun?"
Jackson's forehead was still dripping with water, falling on Lillian's eyelids and nose. Lillian was a bit afraid to look into Jackson's cold, sharp eyes so close.
She blinked and anxiously started to explain, "I didn't mean to play a trick on you. Please don't misunderstand! It's because Lyra found out that I fell into the water at the Sivan's before and about our divorce. She thought I was upset and wanted a divorce since you saved Wendy when I fell into the water."
As Lillian spoke, she realized that these words seemed like shifting blame to Lyra, so she stayed silent again.
She took a deep breath, looked up at Jackson, and said, "I'm so sorry."
Jackson's eyes were still icy, and he didn't release Lillian's chin.
He asked, "Are you upset about that?"
Lillian pressed her lips. How could she not feel upset?
The scene under the water that day was still vivid, as if it had happened yesterday.
The water that day was bone-chilling cold, just like now.
However, Lillian smiled slightly.
"It's all in the past. Anyway, I just told Lyra that I don't think you care about me anymore but only about Wendy's safety, so I wanted a divorce. However, she is stubborn and misunderstands you, insisting that you still care about me and want to prove it to me. I didn't expect her way of proving it to be like this..."
Before Lillian could finish her words, Jackson lowered his head suddenly and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
This kiss was too soft, too sudden, as if it carried endless tenderness.
Lillian stiffened, feeling stunned.
Wasn't he angry just now?
As she was puzzled, she heard Jackson's slightly hoarse voice. "Lillian, Grandma is not stubborn, and she didn't misunderstand me."
Lillian was stunned, looking at Jackson with a blank expression, but her fingertips involuntarily trembled and touched the wall.
What did Jackson mean by that?
In the midst of her uncertain thoughts, Jackson leaned his forehead against hers, gently rubbing it. He let out a sigh.
"Silly girl, I do care. How could I not care about you?"
