Chapter 17 You Can't Survive without Me

Jackson lifted his head, his gaze cold and sharp.

"I don't have time to argue with you. Take it back," he said coldly.

"I'm serious," Lillian said firmly.

Jackson, expressionless, dropped the pen in his hand.

The steel pen fell on the table with a clang, echoing in Lillian's heart.

"What about the reason for divorce, that I have bad breath and impotence? Rumors need to be accounted for." Jackson's voice was icy.

Lillian felt a bit guilty about this matter, her eyelashes trembling slightly. "I didn't say those things, and I have clearly stated the reasons for divorce."

Jackson's long fingers flipped through the pages, his gaze falling on the reason for divorce she had highlighted. A deeper chill settled in his eyes

"Explain what 'loveless and sexless, in name only' means?"

Lillian pursed her lips. "Just a factual description."

Jackson stood up, his long legs circling the office desk.

The imposing figure of Jackson made Lillian involuntarily take a step back, her back against the hard office desk.

Jackson stretched out his long arm, his large palm pressing on the edge of the table, easily pushing her into a corner. He leaned close to her, his voice filled with anger as he spoke into Lillian's ear, "A fact? Who was the man you clung to last night, begging him not to leave? And who did you want to have another round with?"

Thinking of last night, tears welled up in Lillian's eyes.

The more intense the lovemaking, the more desolate Lillian felt now !

Lillian placed her hand on Jackson's chest. "In four years of marriage, the number of times we made love can be counted on one hand. Can this still be considered a sex life?"

Last night was an exception for them, especially since Jackson wouldn't even kiss her.

Lillian's attempts to push him away only fueled his anger. Jackson's large hand gripped her delicate wrist, pushing her forward.

Lillian was forced to lean back. Her years of dance practice made her waist as supple as willow, draped over the edge of the table, her long hair fanning out across its surface.

In this position, with her chest heaving, Lillian's soft chest pressed tightly against Jackson's muscular chest.

Despite this, Jackson's voice remained cold. "I didn't know you had such a strong libido. Who are you planning to satisfy you after the divorce?"

Enraged, Lillian kicked him, but her leg was caught between Jackson's long legs. Unable to break free, she accidentally touched an inappropriate area and froze. When she discussed divorce with him, he was actually getting aroused.

"You bastard!" Lillian's face blushed with anger.

Jackson sneered. "Isn't this what you schemed for? Four years ago, you plotted against me, so be prepared to atone for a lifetime!"

Lillian felt guilty about this matter. "That night, I really don't know what happened!"

"The wine I drank was handed to me by you, and besides me, only your fingerprints were recorded in the bedroom. No one else could have entered! If it wasn't you, then who?" Jackson accused her.

Lillian choked up. She knew that any further explanation would be pointless, as Jackson had already decided she had betrayed his trust.

Their relationship had changed from intimate siblings to suspicious spouses.

Lillian felt like she was back to that morning when Jackson woke up, his angry expression when he saw her in his arms, and his words that wounded her deeply. "Lillian, I only treated you like a sister, and you actually plotted against me!"

Lillian repeated over and over, "I didn't! I didn't!"

But it was to no avail.

Lillian’s face was pale, her eyes welling up with tears. "You’re right. I regret it!"

"Since you know you're guilty, just obediently be Mrs. Frane! Besides, look at yourself. What do you have that wasn't provided by the Frane family? You live in a spacious villa, possess an abundance of jewelry, and use an unlimited credit card every month. With such luxury and opulence, you can't survive without me!" Jackson sneered.

Lillian was stunned. The Jackson who once loved her so much now saw her as a parasite feeding off the Frane family, unworthy of having her own life. Even if she left the marriage with nothing, she still wouldn't be worthy!
