Chapter 271 "She Has Decided to Leave!"
Jackson, tall and imposing, cast an intimidating figure as he swiftly passed by the glass walls of the waiting lounge, flanked by a group of black-clad bodyguards, heading towards another terminal.
Lillian's face grew increasingly pale. Instinctively, she adjusted her hat, pulled up her scarf, and lowered her head in a panic.
At that moment, the boarding announcement echoed through the terminal.
Lillian quickly stood up, grabbed her suitcase, and hurried towards the gate without looking back.
"Mr. Frane, all flights to Harmonyland depart from this Terminal 3. Mrs. Frane's flight should not leave for another two hours. We've already stationed our people at all entrances and exits, but we haven't found Mrs. Frane yet." As Jackson strode into Terminal 3, a bodyguard who had already conducted a preliminary search approached to report.
Jackson's face was stern as he walked towards the crowd and ordered, "Keep looking!"
Jackson waved his hand, signaling the bodyguards to disperse and continue the search. His sharp, hawk-like eyes scanned the area.
Since the flight wouldn't depart for nearly two hours, Lillian had to still be here.
But despite the bodyguards' efforts, there was no sign of Lillian.
A hint of anxiety crept into Jackson's eyes, and his brow furrowed slightly.
"Mr. Frane, could it be that Mrs. Frane hasn't arrived yet?" a bodyguard asked.
The international flight was already boarding, but there was no sign of Lillian in the queue.
Jackson looked at the speaking bodyguard and asked in a deep voice, "Have you checked the restrooms?"
"We've already sent someone in to look, but there's no sign of Mrs. Frane," the bodyguard replied.
Jackson frowned and felt irritated, but he suddenly caught sight of a familiar tall figure talking to a woman near the boarding gate.
A flash of anger appeared in Jackson's eyes as he strode over. He approached the man from behind and grabbed his shoulder, twisting it forcefully.
The man turned around, revealing a refined and gentle face—it was Barry.
A sullen look surged in Jackson's eyes, and he threw a punch.
"Trying to take my woman away! Barry, you're asking for it!" Jackson shouted.
Barry was struck on the cheekbone so heavily that his gold-rimmed glasses flew away and shattered.
Jackson had already pulled the woman standing in front of Barry behind him, his entire being radiating anger and possessiveness.
Barry's face turned blue from the blow, but he steadied himself, straightened up, and mocked, "Mr. Frane, what are you talking about? Perhaps you should turn around and see if it's really your wife."
A sense of foreboding washed over Jackson at the sight of Barry's mocking eyes.
He quickly turned and yanked off the hat and scarf of the woman who had been keeping her head down.
A panicked but utterly unfamiliar face was revealed.
This was not Lillian!
Jackson abruptly let go of the woman, who immediately hurried away.
Jackson turned back, grabbed Barry by the collar, and asked, "Where is Lillian?"
In contrast to Jackson's barely contained rage, Barry remained calm and composed. He replied calmly, "Mr. Frane, as you said, Lillian is your woman. If you don't know where she is, how would I?"
Jackson's cold eyes were filled with anger as he said, "Stop playing dumb. Do you think hiding her will help you achieve your goal? It doesn't matter where she hides. I'll find her!"
Barry nodded. "Indeed, you have extraordinary abilities. Finding someone should be no problem. But have you considered that Lillian's actions mean she has decided to leave? She doesn't want to see you anymore! She doesn't want to be entangled with you. Since you and she have already filed for divorce, why do you still push her? You should respect her decision."
Jackson knew Barry wouldn't reveal Lillian's whereabouts. His grip on Barry's collar gradually loosened, and he said, "You're stalling for time. It seems she is indeed at the airport."
Barry's expression remained unchanged as he replied calmly, "I won't tell you."
