Chapter 504 Safe

Lillian leaned against Jackson, feeling completely drained.

Seeing him now, she couldn't deny the comfort he brought her.

As her fear and tension faded, her body started to show signs of discomfort.

Her abdomen ached, and she shivered from the cold, her lips turning blue. She clutched Jackson's collar, her teeth chattering.

"Seren."

Jackson quickly scooped her up, trying to comfort her.

"Harry's there. Don't worry. She'll be fine."

He rushed over with Harry upon hearing the commotion and found Seren confronting those people.

He couldn't find Lillian in the villa but saw footprints leading away and followed them.

With Harry's skills, there shouldn't be any problems.

Hearing Jackson's deep voice, Lillian's eyes welled up, and her throat felt tight.

But his reassurance helped her relax, and she collapsed into his arms.

Lillian had escaped in a hurry, wearing only thin clothes. She hadn't run far, but she felt frozen.

Jackson felt like he was holding a block of ice, but he had also rushed out without dressing warmly, so he couldn't keep her warm.

He quickened his pace, occasionally glancing down at her with concern.

His heart tightened at her pale face, furrowed brows, and cold sweat on her nose.

"Are you feeling uncomfortable?" he asked gently.

Lillian pressed a hand to her abdomen, unsure if her pain was from overexertion or an actual issue, as it throbbed painfully.

The more she worried and tensed up, the worse the pain became.

She shook her head slightly, but Jackson seemed to sense everything, taking larger strides and speaking softly.

"It's okay. You used to dance every day, and your body could handle it, which means our Taylor is healthy and strong. Relax, and follow me to adjust your breathing."

He pressed her closer to him.

Lillian then heard his steady heartbeat, feeling the rise and fall of his chest.

She followed his rhythm, slowly adjusting her breathing.

Whether it was the comfort she felt or his method really worked, the tightness and pain in her abdomen eased significantly.

At that moment, Jackson kicked open the door and carried Lillian inside.

He placed her on the bed, covering her with two blankets.

He leaned over, tidying her messy hair and tucking it behind her ear.

Lillian pressed her bloodless lips together, turning her head to avoid his gentle touch.

"I'm fine now, go check on Seren," she stammered, still shivering.

When she escaped, she had seen several figures sneaking in.

After living with Seren for a period, Lillian considered her a friend and would eternally feel guilty if Seren was injured because of her.

Lillian recognized the place; it was just above her villa, but outside was quiet, with no sounds of fighting.

This silence made her uneasy.

Jackson tucked the blankets around her, straightened up, and said, "I'm not leaving you alone right now."

As for others' lives, he didn't care much.

Lillian turned her head to look at Jackson again.

He stood by the bed, looking down at her. The dim bedside lamp cast a warm glow, and his deep eyes were filled with intense emotions, like a vortex ready to swallow her.

Lillian's heart ached, feeling a bit uncomfortable, and she turned her head away again.
