Chapter 165 Mutual Suspicion
Lillian poured water into Wendy's mouth, but Wendy struggled hard, so she drank very little.
Just as Lillian was about to pinch Wendy's cheeks to force her to drink, a hand appeared out of nowhere and tightly grasped Lillian's wrist.
Following that hand, Lillian saw Jackson's familiar handsome face.
Her heart sank as she said, "Let go!"
Wendy pushed Shirley aside and hid behind Jackson when she saw him approaching.
"Jackson, please save me quickly. I don't know what Lillian's feeding me. I feel so uncomfortable. My stomach hurts," Wendy pleaded.
Wendy's friends saw Jackson standing up for Wendy and started speaking one after another,
"Oh my, could Wendy really be pregnant?"
"Is Lillian feeding her abortion pills? This is too arrogant and malicious."
"That's true. How could Lillian directly feed Wendy medication? The child is innocent, and it's too cruel!"
Shirley was so furious that she grabbed a bottle of wine from the table and smashed it towards them.
The glass shattered, shards flying everywhere, screams filling the air.
Shirley snapped, "Shut up! Do you know what's going on? Who saw that they were abortion pills? Your thoughts are so twisted. I wish all of your husbands has dozens of illegitimate children outside so you can fully demonstrate your kindness and generosity!"
The women gathered together in fear.
Gray came over with an angry face, staring at Shirley. "It's you again! It seems like you don't want to leave here in one piece!"
Shirley sneered as she said, "Did you turn into a woman after being in the entertainment industry for so long? When women are fighting, you are so keen to join in. If you told me you have this hobby, I would fund your surgery to become a woman."
"Shirley!" Gray clenched his fists, full of hostility.
Lillian was afraid that Shirley would suffer, so she broke free from Jackson, pulled Shirley to her side, and asked, "Do you know Gray?"
Shirley smirked and said, "Not really, just on the set, I..."
"I dare you to say one more word!" Gray's expression suddenly turned livid.
Shirley pursed her lips and said, "If you don't let me speak, you shut up! Otherwise, I'll make sure to publicize everything about you."
"You just wait!" Gray gritted his teeth.
Although Lillian didn't know what had happened between Gray and Shirley, he did shut up.
At this moment, Jackson instructed Mike, "Clean out the scene."
Mike found that the situation couldn't be resolved immediately, so he called in people to escort the unrelated individuals out.
The scene quieted down, and Jackson looked at Lillian, asking, "What's going on? Explain clearly before moving."
Lillian sneered and said, "Wendy put sleeping pills in my cup today at the hotel, causing me to sleep all afternoon."
Jackson stared at her deeply as he asked, "Why would she do that?"
Lillian pursed her lips, not wanting to tell Jackson about her dance audition.
Jackson looked at her. He found that she was still hiding it from him at this moment. A cold, deep chill crept into his eyes.
"If you want to know why Wendy did this, you should ask her!" Shirley interjected.
Wendy surely didn't admit it. Tears welled up in her eyes as she said, "Lillian, why would I drug you? What benefit is it for me to let you sleep all afternoon?"
Lillian clenched her fists and stared at Jackson. "I was drugged by the water in the cup. The only person who knows about this habit of mine, besides Wendy, is you. If it wasn't her doing, it's yours!"
Anger flared in Jackson's icy eyes.
Jackson asked, "Lillian, are you suspecting me now?"
Despite the pain in her heart, Lillian smiled mockingly. "This is a reasonable suspicion, just like four years ago when you suspected me of drugging you."
Why was it only allowed for Jackson to suspect Lillian of drugging but not for her to suspect him?
