Chapter 291 Raise Taylor Together

Lillian was about to speak when Jackson interrupted her in a deep voice. "No buts! Stop overthinking. Put away all those negative thoughts! Focus on giving birth to Taylor, and we'll raise her together."

They would raise Taylor together.

Lillian's heart skipped a beat as she listened to Jackson.

She had always wanted a family with a mom, a dad, and a baby, which was a warm, loving family of three.

Lillian felt a touch in her heart, and in her daze, Jackson's kiss fell again.

His tongue was agile, leaving her no room to retreat. He forcefully broke apart her lips, with a clear objective, sucking and nibbling on her tongue, deeply teasing and drawing from it.

Jackson said in a hoarse voice, "Lillian, be a good girl. I'll give you whatever you want."

His words sounded like sweet nothings.

Lillian wanted to know if he would give her the love that she wanted.

Lillian's hand, resting on Jackson's waist, accidentally touched the thick bandage there, and her heart softened.

She tilted her head up, going from being forced to accept to unconsciously wrapping her arms around his neck, actively leaning in to kiss him back.

"When did you learn to kiss like this? I like it," Jackson teased.

He seemed very pleased with Lillian's response as if she had delighted him.

As she panted, he kissed her earlobe with his thin lips, whispering something in a hoarse voice.

Lillian's face blushed, and she shyly pushed him away.

Jackson's large hand slipped under her loose sweater, eagerly roaming her smooth, tender back.

Just as he skillfully unhooked her bra, the door to the hospital room suddenly opened.

"Dr. Howard, please come in," Terry said as he brought Curtis in to check on Jackson.

However, his voice stopped abruptly when he saw what was happening on the bed.

On the bed, Jackson's eyes were as cold as a blade, staring straight at Terry.

At the same time, Jackson quickly withdrew his hand, pulling down Lillian's sweater to cover her smooth, slender waist.

He pressed Lillian's head with one hand, pushing her face into his chest, and shouted, "Get out!"

Terry's hand shook, and he quickly reacted, closing his eyes and slamming the door shut.

Before the door closed, Terry's panicked voice could still be heard. "Dr. Howard, you should wait a bit. Mr. Frane is a little busy right now."

Lillian, lying in Jackson's arms, felt extremely embarrassed.

Curtis and the others must have seen it. They must think she was so desperate to make a move on Jackson, who had just been transferred from the ICU to a regular room.

Lillian was so shocked that she felt weak, leaning into Jackson's arms.

Jackson tugged at her reddened earlobe and teased, "Are you shy?"

"It's all your fault!" Lillian lifted her head from Jackson's chest, glaring at him.

She scrambled off the bed to open the door for Curtis and the others.

However, Jackson pulled back his arm from her waist and said in a hoarse voice, "Wait a minute."

Lillian was annoyed as she asked, "Wait for what? If I wait any longer, I'll lose all my dignity!"

Leaving Curtis waiting outside was even worse.

However, Jackson held her waist again tightly, saying hoarsely, "If you open the door now, it'll only be more awkward for us."

As he spoke, he pinched Lillian's waist, pulling her closer.

Lillian immediately felt his erection, her face blushing as she looked down.

Jackson was wearing a thin, loose hospital gown, and the bulge was particularly noticeable.

Perhaps stimulated by her gaze, it became even more obvious.

Lillian felt like she was on fire, her face burning as she froze on Jackson, not daring to move. She bit her lip and asked, "Aren't you injured? How can you still react?"

"It's not that part that's injured," Jackson replied confidently.

Lillian sitting on him without a reaction would be the real problem.

Lillian was speechless. She quickly pulled the quilt over Jackson and said, "Hurry! Got up."

She turned her head away, urging Jackson to calm down, not daring to make eye contact with him.

Jackson looked at her shy appearance, feeling a strong desire in his lower abdomen.

This kind of thing wasn't something he could control.

He cleared his throat and said, "You don't need to open the door. Go to the bathroom and freshen up."

With Lillian in front of him, Jackson knew he wouldn't calm down anytime soon.

Hearing this, Lillian quickly snapped out of it, jumped off the bed, and ran into the bathroom.

She stood in front of the sink, turned on the faucet, and glanced at herself in the mirror.

She saw her disheveled hair, flushed face, and swollen eyes and lips, with a hint of redness, as if Jackson had loved her fiercely.

Lillian had no idea she would look like this. When the door opened earlier, Jackson's first reaction was to press her face into his chest.

Her cheeks blushed again. She realized that Jackson had told her she didn't need to open the door and told her to freshen up in the bathroom.

Lillian splashed cold water on her face, the heat gradually subsiding.

She thought about how Jackson used to be so restrained and indifferent, barely touching her in their two years of marriage.

Now, with him like this, Lillian felt both embarrassed and uncontrollably happy.

Voices came from outside, indicating Curtis and the others had come in.

Lillian was still worried about Jackson's injury. After taking a deep breath, she opened the door and walked out.

"The wound is healing well. Fortunately, the knife just grazed the edge of the organ, but the wound almost penetrated. Mr. Frane, you still need plenty of bed rest to prevent the wound from tearing and getting infected again," Curtis looked at Lillian as he spoke.

Despite trying to stay calm, Lillian couldn't help but blush.

She thought, 'Why does it feel like Curtis is warning me?'

Curtis added, "Besides, you lost a lot of blood, and your families need to take good care of you, making sure you'll eat nutritious meals to replenish your blood. By the way, the angiography results should be out. I'll check them later. If everything's fine, there's no need to worry."

Lillian, feeling extremely embarrassed, quickly said, "I'll go get them."

With that, she turned and hurried out of the room, her fleeing figure making Jackson smile as he said to Curtis, "Thank you, Dr. Howard."

After Curtis left, the warmth on Jackson's handsome face disappeared instantly, and the atmosphere in the room grew tense.

Terry stood there, terrified.

"Explain yourself. What did you do?" Jackson asked Terry coldly.

Terry answered honestly, "Mr. Frane, I really didn't do much. When I went to inform Mrs. Frane, I exaggerated a bit to make her feel sorry for you and showed her the video of your injury. That's all."

Jackson's eyes grew colder. He had guessed that Terry must have done something to scare Lillian.

When he held her outside the ICU earlier, Lillian almost fainted.

Jackson scolded, "You must think you're clever, huh?"

Terry was scolded harshly.

Jackson had only instructed Terry to inform Lillian about the injury, not even asking her to come to the hospital.

It was Terry who took it upon himself to exaggerate and show Lillian the video.

Terry thought, 'But wasn't I just trying to help them reconcile sooner? Why does no one understand my good intentions?'
