Chapter 307 Meet at a Café
However, Lillian forgot that some things always went against one's wishes and were difficult to go smoothly.
Jackson was injured and hadn't slept all night. After kissing for a while, Lillian pushed him away and urged him to rest.
He tightened his embrace and quickly fell asleep, but he didn't let go of Lillian.
Lillian waited until he was completely asleep before gently separating his arms and getting off the hospital bed.
She bent down and gently lifted Jackson's hospital gown. As she saw the thick bandages wrapped around his waist and abdomen, her eyes welling up with tears.
Although she couldn't see the wound, the amount of bandages indicated it was very serious.
Jackson, like Jeffrey, had a rare blood type. Losing so much blood probably meant he didn't get a timely transfusion.
His complexion was very pallid, and his lips were pale.
Lillian kissed Jackson's cheek with heartache before quietly leaving the ward.
Shirley was probably worried sick, so she needed to contact Shirley quickly.
Lillian went downstairs and made a call.
Shirley answered anxiously, "Lillian, are you okay? Did Mr. Frane do anything to you?"
She was very worried. That day, when Jackson found out Lillian was pregnant, his expression was terrifying as he left.
Later, Shirley couldn't reach Lillian and only knew that Jackson had taken her back.
She asked Gray for help to get information. Gray, being Jackson's good friend, used this opportunity to make her work for two days, but he didn't find any useful information.
Shirley even suspected whether Gray and Jackson were just pretending to be good friends.
"Shirley, I'm fine," Lillian answered. She briefly told Shirley what had happened in the past two days, and Shirley mentioned running into Jackson with Amelia that day.
Lillian then realized what had happened and asked worriedly, "Did he trouble you? Is Amelia okay?"
"Mr. Frane was in a hurry to chase you, and he didn't have time for us. Amelia was a bit scared, but she's fine," Shirley replied.
Lillian felt very sorry, saying, "Shirley, please contact Amelia. I'll treat her to a meal to apologize."
Shirley agreed immediately. She was worried about Lillian, so they arranged to meet at a café near the hospital.
Lillian hung up the phone. As she looked up, she saw three familiar figures.
The three had their heads and faces wrapped in white bandages, with only their eyes exposed.
If it were just one person walking in the hospital like this, it would be fine, as hospitals have all kinds of patients.
However, three people walking together was too eye-catching, with a touch of inexplicable humor.
Lillian felt she shouldn't lack empathy, but the three seemed to notice her gaze and turned to look at her.
Through the bandages, three pairs of unsettling eyes were revealed. Lillian's eyes widened in shock.
It was Mary, Heroic, and Mia.
How did they end up like this?
Lillian was shocked and also on guard. She stood up and instinctively observed her surroundings.
She was no longer alone; she was a mother and had to protect Taylor.
She knew very well how troublesome these three could be.
However, Mary and the other two just glared at her from a distance and then turned and ran away.
Lillian was puzzled.
She felt a bit confused but didn't think much of it. When she arrived at the café, Shirley hadn't arrived yet.
As soon as she pushed open the café door, she heard two familiar voices.
"If Lillian hadn't taken Jackson, Wendy would have been Mrs. Frane by now," Jenny said.
Rose followed up, "Mr. Frane even gave Wendy a small planet, something money can't buy, and the paperwork is very complicated."
"Yes, I know about that, too. Naming a small planet is international and permanent, lasting for decades or even centuries. That star is unique and unchangeable. Mr. Frane is so romantic, it's unbelievable."
"Lillian not only took Wendy's place but also her destiny. How could she be so shameless? If it weren't for her, Wendy and Mr. Frane, who love each other so much, would have been together long ago."
