Chapter 63 Sensual, Sister Became Wife
The phone call went unanswered time and time again.
Lillian kept dialing, but there was no response from the other end.
She didn't know if he didn't see it or if he was intentionally ignoring her to teach her a lesson by not answering.
"Not picking up the phone? He truly lives up to his reputation!" Shirley gritted her teeth.
"Did you upset Jackson? Say something!" Mary pushed Lillian in a hurry.
Lillian stumbled back from the push, her bag falling to the ground, revealing a divorce agreement that slipped out.
It was the one Lillian had redone and signed her name on. She was ready to throw it in Jackson's face the next time she saw him.
Mary picked it up, staring at Lillian in disbelief.
"What did you do? Jackson doesn't want you anymore? Go find Jackson immediately and beg for reconciliation, kneel and beg him. Go!"
Lillian, exhausted, faced her mother.
Her daughter was getting a divorce, and her mother didn't care about her daughter's grievances, only concerned about her status and wealth.
Lillian pushed Mary away forcefully. "If you want to beg him, go yourself!"
Mary staggered back, about to get angry, but when she met Lillian's cold, hard gaze, she froze.
She was someone who bullied the weak and feared the strong, and she instantly backed down.
Lillian couldn't just stand by and watch Max being kicked out of the hospital, so she held Shirley's hand in worry.
Shirley immediately said, "Don't worry. I'll stay here and make sure nothing happens to Max."
Only then did Lillian take her phone and hurriedly leave the hospital.
In the evening, at the Sky Gate Club.
Miracalia's largest club, frequented by elite figures.
Lillian had asked Mike and found out that Jackson was there tonight.
The club was off-limits to the general public, so Lillian waited outside.
Mike quickly arrived. He was dressed in a wine-red V-neck suit, his hair not perfectly groomed, with fine bangs covering his eyebrows and eyes, exuding an air of nobility and elegance, charming and refined.
"Mike, I need your help."
Mike raised an eyebrow with a smile. "Lilian, you look even better after two years. Come on, I'll take you in."
They soon arrived at a more secluded private room.
Mike stopped and introduced Lillian, "I've told them, from now on, when you come, just come to this room. It's reserved for friends' gatherings, not open to the public. If you're looking for Jackson, you'll find him here."
"Thank you."
Lillian thanked him with a smile, not thinking she would come here to find him in the future.
Once she divorced Jackson, their lives would be different.
As the waiter opened the door, the sound of music and conversation from the private room spilled out.
"Is Lillian comparable to Wendy? Jackson will choose Wendy. How much suffering has Jackson caused Lillian for Wendy in these two years."
"That's not necessarily true. Lillian was raised by Jackson. Even if they don't have a couple relationship, they must have sibling affection, right? Jackson used to give Lillian whatever she wanted."
Lillian froze at the door.
The conversation inside continued, with one voice full of mockery.
"Jackson is just being protective! He is the kind of guy who wants the best for his pets. Am I right, Jackson?"
Lillian recognized it was Gray's voice.
She held her breath, hoping to hear Jackson refute, but all she heard was Jackson's indifferent and mocking voice.
"If you know I'm being protective, then shut up!"
Lillian felt a chill in his voice.
Daisy said she couldn't compare to a dog raised by the Frane family, but in Jackson's eyes, she was just his best pet.
She could be openly criticized and gossiped about by his friends in such a setting.
Lillian's face turned pale. At that moment, the people in the private room finally noticed them.
"Mike is here, and he brought a new beauty. She must be gorgeous. Come on, let me take a look first."
Someone called out and pulled Mike over, exposing Lillian to everyone's eyes.
Her gaze met Jackson, who was sitting in the middle of the sofa in the private room.
Lillian's eyes swept past the delicate figure beside Jackson and she smiled.
Wendy was there too.
She felt embarrassed for disturbing them again.
The lively atmosphere suddenly turned cold and silent.
Wendy's eyes scanned the surroundings, filled with jealousy.
Lillian was too beautiful.
She stood there quietly without any makeup, exuding a stunning aura as if breaking through the dimensional barrier.
"Lillian? Come in and sit down."
Wendy quickly walked up to Lillian, reaching out to pull her, as if she hadn't falsely accused Lillian of pushing her into the water.
Lillian avoided her, and Wendy was left with her hand raised in midair awkwardly.
"Who is she? She doesn't even give a face to Wendy. She's too arrogant for her good," A minor celebrity, Cordelia Frost, said.
Wendy was Jackson's companion, and he wanted to be friends with her.
The atmosphere became even more tense.
Lillian looked at Jackson with cold eyes, not intending to go in, and simply said, "Can we talk outside?"
