Chapter 519 Agreement
Thinking about all this, Jackson felt like a jerk.
Reaching this point was his own doing.
"Lilian."
Jackson couldn't help but speak; he thought he should formally apologize to her.
But just then, Lillian's phone rang.
Lillian acted as if she didn't hear Jackson calling her and immediately took out her phone.
She cursorily surveyed the screen, responded promptly, and conveyed a soft smile.
"Yes, right, I'm in Miracalia now. I just left the airport. I'm fine. Don't worry about me."
Jackson thought it was Shirley, but then Lillian said, "Seren is in the hospital. I contacted her just after I landed. Fortunately, her injuries aren't serious; otherwise, I would never be at peace."
Jackson's eyes instantly turned cold, and his hand at his side clenched tightly.
He knew whose call it was.
Ambrose!
"Really? Then I can still see Seren. I'm really looking forward to it. I'll definitely treat her well when the time comes."
"Okay, I know. If I really need help, I'll definitely contact you."
Lillian was smiling as she spoke, but suddenly, her phone was snatched away.
Lillian frowned and turned around, only to see Jackson directly hang up her call.
For two months, though pregnant, Lillian considered herself emotionally stable, yet Jackson often frustrated her.
"Who gave you the right to hang up my call! Give it back!"
She tried to grab the phone, but Jackson switched it to his other hand, keeping it out of her reach.
"Give it back so you can continue flirting with him?"
"What did you say! Jerk!"
Lillian felt humiliated. How could he dare think she was flirting on the phone? What about him and Star, then?
Lillian was furious and raised her hand to hit Jackson.
Jackson grabbed her hand and questioned her sharply, "Isn't it true? In Country N, you two lived together. After the divorce, are you planning to be with him? Do you like him?"
Lillian found it laughable and retorted, "Jackson, you have no right to ask me these questions now. Let go!"
Jackson coldly replied, "I won't let Taylor call another man 'Dad'!"
"What do you mean?" Lillian frowned, feeling a heavy weight in her heart.
Sure enough, Jackson's thin lips curled into a cold sneer, and he said word by word, "For custody, you promise not to date or remarry."
Lillian was almost furious, glaring at him with suspicion.
"You're shameless!"
Jackson chuckled and said, "No, that's fair. Just as I promised you earlier, I won't let Taylor call any woman other than you 'Mom'!"
While grabbing Lillian's chin, Jackson added, "If you can't do it, I can have the lawyer include it in the divorce agreement. I won't remarry, but Taylor will have to be raised by me."
In other words, for her to get Taylor's custody, she had to stop dating and never remarry.
Lillian was furious. She knew Jackson wouldn't let her go so easily.
"Lillian, I can promise never to remarry, but you can't. I love Taylor more than you do. So why not let me raise him? That way, you won't be held back from finding someone to date."
Lillian immediately said, "Fine, I agree!"
Jackson immediately curved his thin lips into a smile, released Lillian's wrist, and handed the phone back to her, saying, "Very good. Taylor, I've verified it for you. Mommy loves you very much."
Lillian realized he had tricked her!
He had set another trap for her!
She gritted her teeth, unable to swallow this anger, and coldly said, "Five years!"
Jackson raised an eyebrow and asked, "What do you mean?"
"Before Taylor turns five, I promise not to date or remarry. That's it!"
Jackson raised an eyebrow and nodded without hesitation.
"Okay."
Five years would be enough time for him to win her back.
As for Ambrose, Barry, and others, he didn't care at all.
Lillian angrily clenched her phone and turned to look out the car window.
Jackson, however, was in a great mood. Just then, his phone rang.
He answered and heard some good news.
