Chapter 136 Did Jackson Hit Lillian with a Car?
Even though Lillian still held a glimmer of hope in her heart, she looked at Michael inquiringly. Michael awkwardly smiled and led Lillian to the side.
"Sorry, Ms. Lillian, your dance before was very suitable for the game we were developing. We were sincerely looking forward to collaborating this time. However, Mr. Frane seemed to have other considerations. Just now, after he saw your dance, he was not very satisfied, so we cannot sign a contract with you."
So, Jackson canceled the collaboration because he saw her and recognized her. Lillian clenched her fists in frustration.
"How could you do this? How could you toy our time and expectations like this? A big gaming company like yours has no integrity at all!" Shirley gritted her teeth, and Lillian held her back. "Forget it. Shirley, let's go."
Even if they made a scene now, it wouldn't change Jackson's decision.
As Lillian and Shirley came out of Digital Dreams Gaming, they saw Jackson's car approaching. The rear window was half-open, and Jackson's cold and noble profile was visible.
Shirley immediately rushed forward. "Stop the car!"
Without Jackson's command, the driver dared not stop and continued driving forward. Jackson didn't even glance in their direction.
Shirley angrily ran toward the front of the car. Today, she was going to stand up for Lillian.
"Shirley!"
Looking at the danger, Lillian hurriedly ran over, trying to pull Shirley back.
In the back seat, Jackson finally raised his eyes, his pupils shrinking slightly.
"Stop the car!"
He ordered in a deep voice, and the driver slammed on the brakes. However, the two women who had jumped in front of the car had disappeared, possibly accidentally hit.
Jackson clenched his hands on his knees, opened the car door, stepped out, and walked quickly toward the front of the car.
Shirley almost got hit in the front of the car and fell to the ground.
Lillian helped her up, but they both fell together, looking extremely embarrassed.
As Jackson approached, seeing that they were unharmed, he spoke with a grim expression, "You two are quite something."
"You hit your wife with a car, you're even more something!" Shirley scolded angrily.
Lillian got up from the ground and pulled Shirley back from trying to charge forward again.
Jackson sneered.
Of course, he understood why Lillian and Shirley were so angry.
Just because she had failed to secure the contract, Lillian had lost her temper. Did she want to leave the Frane family and him with such childish behaviors? Ridiculous!
Jackson turned to get back into the car.
Shirley was angry on behalf of Lillian. She broke free from Lillian's hold, rushed over, blocked the car door, and glared at Jackson.
"Jackson, you are truly a heartless capitalist. When other tycoons divorce, instead of splitting the family assets in half, they at least provide for the wife with cars and houses. Lilian married you for two years and always be alone. But when she divorces, you still want her to bear a huge debt! She goes out to earn money, and you block her path, snatch her resources, and subsidize your mistress. You are so stingy! What did Lilian do to make you humiliate and bully her like this? What kind of man are you?"
