Chapter 217 Jackson Arrived

It was Barry. He was wearing a white coat, exuding the authority of a doctor, which immediately stunned the crowd.

"Doctor Hall." A few panicked nurses appeared to have found their anchor, gradually calming down.

Barry then sternly stated, The guards will arrive shortly. Everyone, please remain calm! This is a hospital! It's best if you leave now!”

He instructed the medical staff, "Go check on the patients first."

The crowd quickly disperses, and the head nurse leads the others into the ward.

Lillian finally stepped away from the bedside, letting out a sigh of relief. She then walked over to Barry and Shirley by the door.

Shirley's live stream was still running, and she aimed the camera at Mary and the Garcia couple in the ward, loudly addressing the audience in the livestream chat, "Don't believe everything you've heard; these three have deceived you. Take a good look at their faces."

"What are you doing?"

"Get out! Shut down the livestream now!"

The three of them were repeatedly pushed back by Shirley, awkwardly trying to shield their faces from the camera.

The head nurse, witnessing their ongoing dispute, intervened and instructed them to cease, prompting Shirley to finally end the livestream.

Meanwhile, Wendy observed the flood of comments in the livestream that had already altered the situation, and she furiously hurled her phone.

Breathing heavily with anger, she glanced up to notice a familiar car speeding into the underground parking lot.

As she saw Jackson exiting the car and heading towards the elevator with Terry, Wendy bit her lip.

Jackson had also arrived. He even cared about Lillian, rushing to her aid!

Thinking back to Barry's voice just heard in the livestream room, Wendy's lips curled into a cold smile.

It was a pity Jackson arrived a step too late. Seeing Barry had already helped Lillian, he must be angry.

Wendy chuckled lightly and opened the car door.

In the ward, Mary thought that causing a scene would surely make Lillian hand over the money.

She didn't believe that Lillian and Jackson had divorced without dividing any assets.

However, things had escalated to that point, and Lillian had refused to give a penny.

Upon Barry's arrival, two security guards quickly followed, escorting Mary, Heroic, and Mia out of the ward.

"Stop causing trouble and leave now!" The guards released them, but kept a close watch on the trio.

Lillian stepped out of the ward, knowing that she had to resolve Max's situation.

By driving Mary and her group away that time, they would surely come back to cause trouble.

Given Max's current lack of autonomy and Mary's role as Max's mother, if she were to obstruct, it would be extremely challenging for Lillian to take Max out of the country.

Upon Lillian's arrival, Mary glared at her with anger in her eyes and threatened, "Lillian, if I call the police and resist, they will never allow you to take Max!”

Mary was well aware of this, which was why she had insisted on Lillian giving her so much money.

Lillian clenched her teeth and made a compromise, stating, "I can't come up with five million, but I can offer you two hundred thousand dollars. If you allow me to take Max with me, I will pay you half of the money in six months.”

"Two hundred thousand? It's impossible! Not a penny less than five million!" Mary exclaimed.

"That's right. Not a penny less!" Mia yelled.

They started to clamor while Lillian smiled coldly.

“I said two hundred thousand, not a penny more. If not, call the police. They won't ignore it, and you might not even get the two hundred thousand by then. It could turn into an extortion case, which would be interesting. Consider your options," Lillian said, her tone cold.

Lillian was not interested in wasting time with them, so after she made her decision, she turned to head back to the ward.

However, Heroic, filled with rage, suddenly rushed forward, grabbed Lillian's shoulder, and slapped her across the face.
