Chapter 822
A wet, soft sensation landed on Lillian's cheek.
It was Logan who kissed her, leaving her cheek all slobbery.
Lillian turned her head in shock to look at Logan, who seemed to find his bewildered aunt amusing after his big accomplishment.
Logan waved his little hands excitedly, laughing.
Jackson snapped out of it and gave Logan a light smack on the butt, annoyed.
"My girlfriend hasn't had enough kisses from me, and you dare to steal one!"
Jackson said, bending down to place Logan on the hospital bed, refusing to hold this little troublemaker any longer.
Anyone who dared to compete with him for his girlfriend, regardless of age, gender, or species, was not welcome.
"He kissed me! Logan just kissed me, didn't he?!"
But the worst was yet to come. Just as Jackson stood up, Lillian grabbed his arm, exclaiming.
The joy in Lillian's words and the obvious excitement on her face made Jackson feel a bit jealous.
"Sweetheart, you didn't react like this when your boyfriend kissed you! It's not fair to treat handsome guys differently."
Jackson's tone was jealous because he was genuinely hurt.
When he kissed her, she barely reacted, but when a toothless little kid kissed her, leaving half her face covered in slobber, she was overjoyed.
Lillian was speechless, "Who cares about an old handsome guy like you? I just love Logan, the soft little cutie."
Lillian said, pushing Jackson away to go hold Logan.
Jackson's lips pressed tightly together as he forcefully wrapped his arm around Lillian's waist, stepping forward to trap her between himself and the hospital bed.
Jackson's breath was dangerously close, his thumb rough as it brushed against Lillian's cheek, wiping away the child's slobber.
He looked disgusted, "He practically washed your face with his spit, and you call him cute."
Lillian smiled at him, "He's still cuter than you."
"Who's cute? Who's cute?!"
Jackson's eyes narrowed as he held Lillian's waist, pulling her tightly against him.
The dangerous, invasive aura was intense.
Not cute at all, actually quite scary.
But Lillian was intimidated, quickly saying, "You're cute, my boyfriend is the cutest."
Jackson was satisfied with her answer. He leaned down and gave her a heavy peck on her rosy lips before releasing her.
"Stamped and sealed, no take-backs."
Jackson watched Lillian nod before turning away, reassured.
Jackson opened the hospital room door, "Doctor, please come in."
Lillian looked over and realized that the middle-aged doctor in a white coat had been standing outside the door.
Lillian was stunned, thinking about how the doctor had been waiting outside while Jackson was clinging to her.
And the hospital room door wasn't soundproof at all, making Lillian's face burn with embarrassment.
She thought that boyfriends were definitely not the cutest!
Logan was very well-behaved, lying on the hospital bed, playing with his fingers.
The doctor examined Logan thoroughly. Fortunately, Logan had many bruises, but they were all external injuries.
As his body healed, it wouldn't affect his health.
Lillian breathed a sigh of relief. After the doctor left, she looked at Logan, who had fallen asleep peacefully on the hospital bed, her gaze soft and distant.
Logan looked like a little angel when he slept, his long, curly lashes casting shadows on his chubby cheeks, serene and beautiful like a painting.
If only this were her Taylor, how wonderful it would be.
"Why are you crying?"
Jackson had escorted the doctor out and returned to find Lillian sitting by the bed, quietly watching Logan.
Logan was asleep, his little hand tightly gripping one of Lillian's fingers.
It was a beautiful, warm scene, but Jackson quickly noticed something was wrong. Tears were falling from Lillian's eyes.
Jackson's heart ached. He quickly walked over and stood by the bed, placing his large hand on the back of Lillian's neck, letting her lean into his embrace, while his other hand wiped away her tears.
Lillian snapped out of it, wiping away the last bit of moisture from her eyes, shaking her head.
"It's nothing, I just feel bad for Logan. Dominic and Star don't care about him. Even if they get a new nanny, it might not be enough to take good care of Logan."
Celine definitely wouldn't be returning to the Price Villa as a nanny, but finding another one might not ensure Logan's well-being.
After all, the Price family had neglected Logan so much.
"I'll arrange for someone reliable to go there, don't worry."
Jackson gently stroked Lillian's hair, his voice deep.
Since he said so, Lillian believed he would take care of it. Feeling relieved, she nodded.
"Okay."
Lillian's gaze never left Logan.
Her affection for Logan was evident.
Jackson's lips moved, wanting to say that if she really liked Logan, he could talk to the Price family and have Logan stay with them for a while.
But thinking about Logan's biological mother, those unbearable past events, and their lost Taylor.
He ultimately felt that this wouldn't be a compensation for her, but rather a torment.
Better to forget it.
Jackson closed his lips, lowered his head, and placed a tender kiss on Lillian's hair.
They would have another baby someday.
Lillian and Jackson stayed at the hospital with Logan until his treatment was finished, and it was already nighttime.
Star had been taken to the police station, and Dominic hadn't come looking for them.
Jackson didn't go looking for Dominic either. They carried Logan out of the hospital.
The night wind was chilly.
Lillian worried about Logan catching a cold and stopped Jackson outside the hospital building, stepping forward to wrap Logan's blanket tighter.
"Alright, let's go."
After wrapping him up, she stepped back and urged.
Jackson then resumed walking, and Lillian was about to follow when she felt like someone was watching her.
She paused, looking around.
There were many patients, family members, and doctors coming and going in front of the hospital building, all in a hurry, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Lillian didn't think much of it, retracting her gaze and quickly catching up.
They took Logan straight to the Peace Mansion.
By the time they arrived, it was already dark.
Logan had fallen asleep after drinking his formula in the evening, and he continued to sleep, blowing bubbles while Lillian held him in the car.
But as soon as they got out of the car and Jackson carried him into the Peace Mansion, Logan suddenly woke up, lying on Jackson's broad shoulder and waving his little hand at Lillian.
Lillian caught up, holding Logan's hand, and the three of them walking together looked like a family returning home.
