Chapter 486 Depression

Shirley sneered, "Aren't you so capable? Why ask me? Go find her yourself! Actually, don't bother; you won't find Lilian! Even if I knew where she was, I wouldn't tell you so you can hurt her again!"

As Shirley's words hung in the air, Jackson's eyes grew colder, and a dangerous aura surrounded him.

Gray quickly covered her mouth. "Jackson, she's just being stubborn. I've already asked her; she really doesn't know anything."

Gray was worried about Shirley. After she was taken away yesterday, he had followed.

He held Shirley and anxiously , thinking, 'I've known Jackson for years and never seen him like this. Shirley's provocation is really foolish.'

"This has nothing to do with you! Escort Mr. Flores out," Jackson ordered coldly.

Harry immediately stepped forward to pull Gray away.

In the next moment, Shirley broke free from Gray's hold and aimed a kick at Harry.

Harry, quick on his feet, dodged swiftly.

Shirley then grabbed a plate of desserts and hurled it at Jackson. Jackson stood still, yet his hand moved with precision to catch the plate in mid-air.

A few crumbs of cake landed on Jackson's face and fell to the ground.

The atmosphere instantly became tense and unnervingly silent.

Gray, fearing that Jackson might lose his temper and things could turn violent, scrambled off the sofa and rushed to snatch the plate from Jackson's grasp.

"Jackson, I know you're upset, but we need to stay calm!"

As Gray tried to defuse the situation, Shirley stood up, glaring at Jackson with fury. "How did you treat Lilian when she loved you? Back then, she was only eighteen

"Everyone criticized her, slandering her and destroying her reputation because she was repaying your kindness with ingratitude. She was scorned and condemned wherever she went.

"If it weren't for her love for you, would she have chosen to marry you despite all the insults and defamation from the whole city?

"And what did you do? You just walked away. Later, you did marry her, but it was no better than if you hadn't. You subjected her to two years of emotional abuse in that marriage.

"Did you know she even suffered from depression at one point? She had to rely on sleeping pills just to get through the night!"

Jackson's fists clenched tightly, his eyes turning a dangerous red, and his face twitched uncontrollably.

His voice was hoarse, "Depression?"

"You really know nothing!" Shirley snapped, "You think a few bank cards, some clothes, and jewelry, and making her Mrs. Frane meant she should be eternally grateful! Is that it?"

Shirley sneered contemptuously.

Jackson's face went pale, and his grip on the plate tightened until his knuckles turned blue, the plate finally cracking under the pressure.

With a loud crash, the plate shattered, the pieces and blood spilling out.

Gray's face went pale as he stared at Shirley, his eyes wide with alarm.

"Stop it! Jackson, let go of the plate! Are you trying to injure yourself?"

Gray frantically tried to pry Jackson's hand open.

The sharp shards in Jackson's grip made Gray shudder in fear.

He thought, 'This is madness!'

"No, let her speak!"

Jackson shrugged off Gray's hand, his voice trembling.
