Chapter 149 Let's Have a Good Talk
Jackson's eyes turned gloomy. "Explain clearly!"
"Ms. Frane has a high fever and has been taken to the hospital." Before Terry could finish speaking, Jackson took a step forward. He hurriedly followed.
While Wendy hadn't even reacted yet, Jackson had already entered the elevator. She hurriedly caught up but missed the elevator.
She stomped her foot in frustration, but fortunately, the waiter she had asked earlier sent her the photo.
After looking at the photo, Wendy's expression gradually calmed down, and she immediately sent it to Lillian.
Kevin asked Shirley for Lillian's current address. He rushed over, knocked on the door for a while with no response, and then asked Shirley for the password to enter the house.
Inside the room, Lillian was indeed in a daze due to the fever.
Kevin carried her to the car, wrapped a towel around an ice pack, and kept cooling Lillian on the way. It wasn't until they were close to the hospital that Lillian finally woke up.
When Jackson arrived at the hospital, Lillian had just been taken to the ward. As he walked quickly to the ward and was about to open the door, he saw Kevin feeding water to Lillian on the bed through the window.
Kevin had his arm around Lillian's shoulder and held a cup of water, which was very careful.
Lillian leaned against his arm comfortably and tilted her head slightly to drink the water, which was obedient and well-behaved.
The ward was a double room, and the old lady on the next bed looked on with a smile. "Your husband is so handsome and caring."
Unable to bear it any longer, Jackson, with his handsome yet cold face, pushed open the ward door abruptly.
As Jackson entered the ward, it was as if he brought in a gust of cold wind. With a powerful aura, he immediately attracted the attention of everyone in the ward.
Lillian looked at him, furrowing her brows, then withdrew her gaze indifferently.
"Jackson," Kevin greeted. Before he could say more, Jackson walked over, took the cup from his hand, and said, "I'll take care of her. You can go back now. It's late."
Looking at his cold expression, Kevin felt worried and stood still.
It was obvious that Lillian and Jackson were separated, Lillian was still running a fever, and the atmosphere was tense, so of course Kevin was concerned.
But Jackson's eyes turned even colder. "Aren't you leaving yet?"
"Alright." Kevin nodded.
But as soon as he took a step, Lillian reached out and grabbed his sleeve.
"Jackson, you have been drinking, so you should go back and rest. After I finish the IV fluids, Kevin will take me home. No need to trouble you." Lillian looked at Jackson coldly.
With the smell of alcohol still on Jackson, Lillian resisted and felt disgusted, recalling the ambiguous atmosphere in the photo she saw before falling asleep.
"Lillian, I am your husband." Jackson's face changed slightly, and his gaze was fixed on Lillian's hand holding Kevin's sleeve.
He remembered when Lillian was sick as a child, the obedient her would become clingy. She relied on him a lot, didn't allow him to leave, and wanted him to take care of her and accompany her, which was similar to how she was now acting toward Kevin.
Lillian's face turned pale, but she didn't let go of Kevin's hand, saying coldly, "We have already signed the divorce agreement. It's over."
"Lillian!" Jackson's face suddenly turned grim.
Kevin was stunned, surprised, and worried. "Divorce agreement? Jackson, are you going to divorce Lillian?"
Jackson was not in the mood to deal with Kevin's questions now, he ordered in a deep voice, "Terry, send Kevin back."
Terry stepped forward and whispered, "Mr. Frane and Ms. Frane are having marital problems. Ms. Frane fell ill, and Mr. Frane will take care of her, and then their relationship will improve. Please don't interfere."
Kevin frowned but didn't insist further. He turned to Lillian and said, "Lillian, have a good talk with Jackson."
"Aren't you letting go yet?" Jackson's gaze was mocking, staring at Lillian.
Lillian felt a bit embarrassed, but since Kevin had said so, she had to let go of her hand.
Kevin left, and Lillian lay back on the bed. She turned over and faced away from Jackson, even her back showing resistance.
