Chapter 507 Persuade

He turned around, and Lillian's eyes landed on Jackson's right shoulder.

She hadn't noticed his injury until Harry mentioned it, and then she saw the scratch.

His black sweater hid the wound, but there was a bloodstain.

Lillian clenched her fists. "Is it bad? You should get it checked."

She couldn't stay indifferent.

Jackson finally heard something he wanted from her.

He felt a bit flattered.

His lips hinted at a smile, revealing his happiness, as he swiftly approached and grasped her hand.

"You do care about me. Don't deny it!"

He pried open her clenched hands, revealing crescent-shaped marks in her palm.

She had made them unconsciously when she heard he was hurt.

Lillian was both frustrated and flustered, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She tried to pull her hand away, angrily saying, "Even if I care, it's only because you saved me. Don't get any ideas!"

Jackson tightened his grip.

He wasn't mad; his eyes still had a hint of a smile as he said,

"Yes, it's all my wishful thinking. I just want you to care about me.

Lillian, your indifference hurts more than the wound. If you don't believe me, feel it."

He placed her hand on his chest.

He guided her hand to rub over his heart.

His deep eyes were filled with a smile, gazing at her with blatant temptation.

The usually stubborn Jackson suddenly launched a direct offensive.

Lillian felt his body heat and heartbeat in her palm as if she were being scorched.

She quickly withdrew her hand. "You're shameless!"

Seeing her flustered and angry, Jackson rubbed his now-empty palm.

He innocently said, "I'm just telling the truth. How is that shameless?"

Lillian glared at him, wanting to retort.

But as soon as she turned, a shadow loomed over her.

Jackson's lips unexpectedly pressed against hers.

The kiss came out of nowhere.

Lillian was stunned, momentarily forgetting to react. As blood rushed to her face, anger surged, and she wanted to bite and push him away.

Jackson quickly kissed her and then pulled back.

The sound of the kiss echoed in her ears.

Jackson's lips curved into a satisfied smile as he looked at the dumbfounded Lillian and said,

"Now that's shameless."

He touched his lips, savoring the moment.

Lillian was silent.

She angrily raised her hand to slap him.

But Jackson caught her wrist. "The police will be here soon, and we have to face outsiders. Can you save this slap for later? You don't want it to be too awkward, do you?"

Lillian was so angry she laughed. "I should thank you for being so considerate?"

Jackson's thumb gently stroked her wrist. Instead of answering, he said, "Lillian, I know you don't want to trust or rely on me now, but if the Price family dares to act, I will pursue justice for you and for myself. I won't force you to come with me, but can you endure this humiliation if you don't go back?"
