Chapter 532
"Lilian, where have you been lately? Are you doing well?" Barry asked gently.
"Lillian, I can't believe how big your belly has gotten!"
Nathan stared at Lillian's belly in amazement, then squatted down slightly, waved at Lillian's stomach, and smiled warmly and handsomely. "Taylor, hello, I'm Uncle Nathan. By the way, I brought you a gift."
Nathan turned around, picked up the oversized white teddy bear from the seat, and handed it to Lillian.
Lillian smiled as she took it. "Thank you, Nathan."
She then turned to Barry and said, "Barry, you haven't gone abroad?"
Barry had previously applied to study abroad at Phantom Kingdom with Lillian, even quitting his job at the hospital for it.
But he had applied to study abroad only because he wanted to go abroad with Lillian.
When Lillian couldn't go, Barry also delayed his study abroad plans. During this time, Lillian disappeared. Barry asked Shirley twice about Lillian's whereabouts, and Shirley only said that Lillian had gone abroad.
Barry even stayed in Phantom Kingdom for a while. He also asked Alice about Lillian, hoping to run into Lillian on the streets of there.
But his wish didn't come true. Later, when he saw Jackson in Phantom Kingdom, he realized that even if Lillian was escaping, she wouldn't dare to go to Alice. So Barry returned.
"My mom's health hasn't been good lately, so I wanted to spend more time with her. I've resumed my position at Duke University Hospital." Barry briefly mentioned it, then changed the subject with a warm smile. "Lilian, I ordered a special cake for you, low sugar. Come and try it."
Shirley watched the two men on either side vying for Lillian's attention, one cute and the other elegant and gentlemanly.
Both were much better than Jackson, and she found the scene very pleasing.
Shirley smiled and stepped aside, took a photo of the three of them, and immediately posted it on social media.
She added the caption: [Only by letting go of the wrong can you meet the right.]
The picture was blurred, showing only the outlines of the three people, making their features unrecognizable but perfectly capturing the atmosphere.
Gray was the first to see the post. He was the lead actor in a fantasy series, and his shoot ended later than Shirley's.
After today's shoot, he had asked Shirley to join a party, but she had ditched it to pick up Lillian.
Seeing the post, Gray immediately took a screenshot and sent it to Jackson.
"Jackson, they are at Elegance Manor, this is as much as I can help you."
He thought that once Jackson came to take Lillian away, Shirley's gathering would be over.
After posting on Facebook, Gray replied to Shirley's post:
[Delete it, don't look for trouble?]
"Have a drink, thanks for teaching me how to act, Gray. Add me on Facebook."
Gray was scrolling through his phone when a soft voice suddenly sounded beside him.
It was the lead actress Wren, holding a glass of wine and leaning in close.
She wore a tight black dress, showing off her perfect curves from Gray's angle.
Gray withdrew his gaze indifferently, pushed away the phone in front of him, and said, "The shoot is over, there's no need."
Gray had a strong background and controlled a lot of resources. Since joining the crew, Wren had been trying to seduce him.
To Wren's surprise, Gray had no interest in her and even resisted filming intimate scenes with her, instead dating an unknown actress.
Wren saw it as an insult and was full of resentment.
Even when her phone was pushed away, she didn't get angry. Instead, she smiled and moved closer.
"I saw it that night."
Her voice was ambiguous, her breath lingering. Gray tilted his head slightly, glancing at Wren.
Wren blinked, "That tent scene was quite thrilling. Gray, you played it pretty wild. I accidentally filmed a bit."
Gray's eyes darkened slightly, and he said coldly, "Give me your Facebook account."
Wren curled her red lips and raised her glass.
Gray casually picked up his wine glass, clinked it with Wren's, and drank, his Adam's apple bobbing.
Wren looked at him with seductive eyes and took her phone.
