Chapter 190 Stay Away from Jackson

'Cherish my life, and stay away from Jackson, then troubles will go away!'

Lillian repeated this in her mind twice and quickly walked away.

A week later, Lillian completed her collaboration with Digital Dreams Gaming, successfully adding another income to her account.

As she walked out of Digital Dreams Gaming and got into a taxi, Peggy called and told her that Lyra had suddenly fainted.

Lillian immediately asked Aiden to change the route towards the Frane Mansion.

She rushed into the Frane Mansion, only to find Lyra sitting in the yard.

"Lyra, why are you sitting here? Where is the doctor?" Lillian asked.

Lyra held Lillian's hand and asked, "Tell me the truth. You never reconciled with Jackson, right?"

Lillian was taken aback, but after carefully observing Lyra's expression, she realized she had been deceived.

Helplessly, she said, "Lyra..."

Lyra's expression turned serious. "I may be old, but I'm not foolish or blind. Well, you're not even wearing your wedding ring."

Lillian didn't know what to say.

She remembered that Jackson put the ring on her finger to deceive Lyra when they returned to the Frane Mansion the last time.

They had promised to reconcile in front of Lyra.

However, in reality, they had never truly reconciled. It couldn't be hidden forever.

"Lyra, Jackson and I have decided to let each other go. We are indeed getting a divorce," Lillian said firmly, holding Lyra's hand and choosing to be honest.

Lyra's face changed instantly, her pale lips trembling, her breathing becoming heavy.

Lillian was extremely worried, tears streaming down her face. She apologized, "Lyra, I'm sorry for disappointing you. You can scold me or hit me, but please don't be too emotional. It may harm yourself!"

She helped Lyra sit back, and then instructed Peggy to fetch some medicine.

After taking two pills, Lyra's breathing eased, and her complexion was no longer grim.

Lillian, however, was shocked, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face, wetting her cheeks.

She held Lyra's skinny hand, continuously apologizing, "Lyra, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."

She couldn't face Lyra, knowing that Lyra had hoped she and Jackson would live together forever.

However, she disappointed Lyra because she was unable to continue the marriage.

Lillian was terrified. She was afraid that her actions would affect Lyra's health and that she would not be forgiven and loved by Lyra in the future.

However, Lyra hugged the crying Lillian, patted her back, and said, "Lillian, stop apologizing. I know you've done your best. If anyone's at fault, it must be Jackson! I'm not angry, and I don't blame you."

Lyra patted Lillian with her aged hands, like she always did in Lillian's childhood.

Lillian leaned on Lyra's slightly hunched shoulders, choking on her words, tears flowing even more.

"Alright. Stop crying. Tell me, is it because of Wendy? Just tell me. I'll support you!"

Lyra let go of Lillian, using her wrinkled hands to wipe away her tears.

Lillian tried hard to stop crying, shaking her head. "Lyra, it's not because of Wendy."

"Nonsense! How could it not? It was only after she returned that you and Jackson started arguing! It was only today that I found out that you were pushed into the water at her reception! Did Jackson save Wendy?" Lyra asked angrily.

Lillian was stunned. It had been a month since she fell into the water.

She asked in surprise, "How did you know about that, Grandma?"

Jenny had come to the Frane Mansion today and mentioned the incident while talking to her friends, even mocking how disheveled Lillian had looked at the time.

Until now, the video of Lillian's embarrassing moment was still circulating within the socialite group.

Lyra had just overheard it and demanded to see the video from Jenny.

After watching the video, she was furious.

"You don't need to know how I found out. Tell me, did you divorce Jackson because of this incident?" Lyra pressed.

Lillian quickly shook her head, smiling bitterly.

"Lyra, it's because there's no more love between Jackson and me. You've seen it, too. He doesn't care about me anymore. That's why he chose to save Wendy when we were both in the water. You don't know how anxious he was at that moment."

"Nonsense! Jackson is my grandson. How could I not know what he cares about? He cares about you! I must prove it to you today!" Lyra interrupted Lillian, speaking firmly.

Lillian was helpless. How could Lyra prove it?

As she was at a loss, Peggy approached and said, "Mrs. Lyra Frane, Mr. Frane has returned."

Lyra immediately stood up, took Lillian's hand, and hid her behind a dense thicket of trees, instructing her, "Lillian, stay here. No matter what happens, do not come out! I will prove to you that Jackson does care about you!"

Then Lyra let go of Lillian and went out.

Lillian was confused, but she could see Jackson's tall figure quickly approaching from a distance.

After not seeing him for a while, whether it was due to the angle or the faintly desolate atmosphere in the garden, Jackson, in his long coat, still looked upright, but his handsome face seemed to have lost some of its former glow.
