Chapter 181 He Wanted to Send Her a Wedding Invitation
Lillian came out of the bathroom and took a breath next to the empty rockery in the courtyard.
She looked up. A heavy mist of lights covered the sky, so she couldn't find a single star for a while.
When Lillian was extremely bored, she heard a disturbing voice behind her.
"Lillian? What are you doing here?"
Lillian turned around and saw Wendy and Daisy holding hands, standing opposite each other like a mother and daughter.
Lillian frowned slightly. She was outside for some fresh air after hearing Wendy and Grace say they were going back to eat.
If she had known she would run into them, she would have definitely texted Nathan to leave on her own.
Lillian nodded politely at Daisy and said, "My friends and I are having dinner here, and we're just about to leave."
She was about to leave when Daisy spoke in a stern voice,
"Stop!"
Wendy and Daisy blocked her way, so Lillian had to stand still and look at Daisy, "Is there something else?"
Daisy frowned as she asked, "Don't you understand manners? Don't you even know how to address me now?"
Lillian found it quite ridiculous. Jackson and Wendy were already discussing marriage. Did Daisy still expect her to obey her like before?
Lillian asked, "I'm sorry. How should I address you now?"
"What's with your attitude!"
Daisy was full of anger and raised her hand to slap Lillian.
Lillian raised her hand and grabbed Daisy's wrist. "The way you treat me is the way I treat you. Is that hard for you to understand?"
Daisy was furious, and Wendy stepped forward to hold her back.
"Daisy, calm down. Lillian, Daisy has been worried about Jeffrey's health recently and is not in good shape. Can you stop provoking her on purpose? After all, she is your elder. I know you feel uncomfortable seeing Daisy and me together, so please direct your anger at me."
Daisy pulled her hand back and held Wendy's hand, patting it.
She said, "Wendy, you are so considerate and sensible. Only someone like you is worthy of Jackson and qualified to be the young lady of the Frane family. "
She glanced at Lillian with dissatisfaction.
Wendy blushed, giving Lillian a smug look without making a sound.
Lillian looked at them coldly and chuckled mockingly.
Lillian said, "So, all her efforts to please are just enough to be qualified. Watching the two of you, I thought she would at least get a perfect score."
Wendy's expression stiffened, and Daisy sneered.
Daisy said, "I'm just afraid Wendy will become arrogant. There's so much room for improvement in Wendy. Once she's in, I'll teach her slowly. At least she's much better than you, who I've been teaching for so many years without any progress!"
Lillian couldn't be bothered to argue and nodded. "May I leave now?"
Her indifferent attitude made Daisy and Wendy even more uncomfortable.
Daisy frowned her brows as she said, "Jackson and Wendy are preparing to get engaged. Jackson has already invested three billion in the Sivan Group as an engagement gift. I came here tonight to meet with Wendy's parents to discuss the engagement. I don't care why you're here, but I warn you not to cause trouble!"
Daisy's tone showed she suspected that Lillian was deliberately stalking her to cause trouble.
Lillian lowered her head, self-deprecatingly curled her lips, and then raised her head with a cheerful, bright smile.
"You've misunderstood. My friends are still in the Springtime Beauty Private Room. You can follow me if you don't believe me. I have no interest in ruining someone's wedding, and I sincerely wish both of you all the best tonight."
After saying that, Lillian took another step, but Wendy suddenly grabbed her and asked, "Lillian, do you really wish me and Jackson well?"
