Chapter 127 Unable to Suppress Anger

As Terry was trembling with fear, the sharp and terrifying sound of a chair rubbing against the floor broke the silence in the office.

It was sharp and chilling.

In Terry's peripheral vision, Jackson, exuding a cold aura, was already heading toward the door.

Terry hurried to catch up, almost getting his nose squashed by the forcefully closed door.

For the sake of his safety, he wisely decided not to follow.

Downstairs at the café.

The lawyer Lillian hired was scared off upon finding out that the other party involved was Jackson.

Lillian couldn't hold him back, so she could only wait there by herself.

She glanced at the time. She had an appointment at the dance studio, and she had to rush over later to practice dancing.

However, this time she should be able to smoothly get Jackson's signature on the divorce agreement.

As Lillian was thinking, a strong gaze locked onto her.

When Lillian raised her eyes, Jackson, with a cold demeanor, strode toward her.

"What are you doing?" Lillian asked.

Without a word, Jackson grabbed Lillian's wrist, pulled her up from the chair, and started walking out.

With a cold and stern back, Jackson's steps were fast and urgent.

Lillian was much shorter than him, and she stumbled as she was pulled, hitting her thigh on the corner of a nearby table.

She winced in pain and struggled. "Jackson, let go!"

Ignoring her pleas, Jackson dragged her out of the café, straight into the elevator, and down to the underground parking lot.

It was during working hours, and there was no one else in the parking lot.

Feeling intimidated by his dominant and cold aura, Lillian struggled even more.

"Ouch, if you have something to say, can't you just say it directly?" she complained.

Finally, Jackson stopped in his tracks, turned around, and slammed the divorce agreement into Lillian's arms.

Lillian panicky held onto the agreement as Jackson lifted her.

Taking a few quick steps, he opened the car door and pushed her inside.

Lillian kicked and struggled, refusing to cooperate.

"What are you doing? I have things to do," Lillian said.

Before she could finish her sentence, Jackson fastened her seatbelt and slammed the door shut.

Lillian was furious, but then a thought struck her.

Was Jackson so eager to take her to get a divorce?

She stopped struggling and quickly flipped to the last page of the divorce agreement.

But only her signature was present on it, Jackson had not signed yet.

Lillian's anger surged even higher, and as Jackson got into the car, she angrily questioned him.

"What do you mean? You said it yourself, as long as I repay the Frane family five million dollars, you would agree to the divorce. I have agreed now, why haven't you signed?"

In this agreement, she added that she was willing to leave with nothing and compensate him with five million dollars as compensation for the two years of the loveless marriage.

She really couldn't understand what else Jackson was dissatisfied with!

Lillian felt like she was going crazy because of him.

With a mocking look in his cold eyes, Jackson said, "Lillian, you have nerves now. Who are you going to ask for this five million dollars?"

Lillian was just a twenty-two-year-old girl who hadn't had a proper job since graduation.

With her remaining two insignificant part-time jobs, she couldn't come up with five million dollars.

Jackson was sure about that, so he had made the demand. But he didn't think she'd agree.

"You don't need to worry about where I'll get it from. Since I've written it into the agreement, I won't back out. Hurry up and sign!"
