Chapter 356 Hadn't Given Up
"Lillian?" In the tense situation, Nathan looked at Lillian in surprise as she took a step forward.
Lillian walked out from behind Ambrose.
Nathan, anxious, reached out to grab Lillian, but Ambrose blocked his hand. Nathan frowned.
Lillian walked up to Jackson with her head down, her fists clenched, but she felt weak all over.
She thought, 'The dance drama is set to premiere next month. Since Victoria and the dance troupe are already here, and the venue is set in Miracalia, it must have been a well-considered decision. The dance drama is to be performed on stage, with many performers putting in sweat and effort. If I haven't joined the troupe yet and caused the dance drama to be canceled, what reason do I have to join? Even if I join, how will I get along with the other dancers?'
Jackson held Lillian's weakness, forcing her to compromise.
"Let's go home first. We'll discuss this later." Jackson looked at the obedient Lillian in front of him, the coldness in his eyes gradually fading.
His voice softened as he raised his hand to stroke Lillian's hair.
Lillian slightly tilted her head, stiffening Jackson's raised hand. Then it fell to her waist, suddenly tightening.
Lillian was pulled back into his arms, unable to break free.
Only then did Jackson lift his cold eyes to look at Ambrose. "Goodbye."
He turned and left with Lillian in his arms.
Nathan, looking worried and anxious, took a step forward and asked, "Ambrose, are we just going to let Jackson take Lillian? Lillian clearly isn't willing!"
Ambrose glanced at him and said calmly, "Otherwise, are you going to go up and beat Jackson and take Lillian back?"
Nathan immediately perked up and was about to charge forward.
Ambrose added beside him, "Jackson used to be a mercenary abroad, experienced in combat and bloodshed. By the way, the last person, Sean, who offended him, ended up on the news."
Sean had his male parts mutilated in the hospital.
Nathan had seen that horrifying trending news.
Instantly, the leg Nathan had stepped forward with retracted, and he asked Ambrose, "Are we just going to do nothing?"
"Lillian is Jackson's wife and carrying his child," Ambrose said softly.
Even if it wasn't Jackson, any ordinary man would find it challenging if his pregnant wife wanted to perform on stage.
Unless Jackson didn't care about his wife and child's safety, his worry and tension were understandable.
Ambrose had previously opposed Jackson because of Lillian's attitude.
But now that Lillian had compromised herself, they, as outsiders, had no standing.
This matter still needed to be resolved between Lillian and Jackson.
"Mr. Kelly, are we going to cast someone else for this dance role?" Victoria stepped forward with a frown and asked, feeling somewhat regretful.
Lillian was currently her most satisfactory dancer. Victoria hadn't considered using a real pregnant woman before, but if Lillian, as a pregnant woman, took on this role, it would be even more significant.
"No need. Lillian will come." Ambrose nodded to Victoria and replied certainly.
He could tell that Lillian hadn't given up.
She had just left with Jackson to avoid escalating the situation and causing a conflict between Jackson and the Kelly Group because of her.
