Chapter 248 Catching Wendy in the Act

Had she betrayed Jackson? That man clearly knew Wendy was pregnant. Wasn't Wendy almost having a miscarriage before? How could she still engage in such risky behavior?

Lillian was utterly shocked. She took out her phone, put it on silent, and carefully crouched down, inching towards the flower wall.

"You're so annoying. Kissing and touching is fine, but you really want to go all the way? I'm pregnant!" Wendy said.

"Pregnancy makes you more sensitive. Look at you, pretending to resist. You're so needy, Jackson hasn't touched you, has he?" the man said.

"Shut up!" Wendy shouted.

Wendy's panting and sounds of resistance reached Lillian's ears, making her toes curl.

The two on the other side of the flower wall were not done. They were still entangled.

"Why can't I mention him? The child in your belly isn't even Jackson's. Do you really think he'll marry you? Dream on. Even if you get rid of Lillian, you'll never become Mrs. Frane. You're better off with me. I love you more than he ever will," the man said.

Lillian clutched her phone tightly, feeling a wave of shock.

The child in Wendy's belly wasn't Jackson's! But why did Jackson care so much about Wendy's baby? Could there be a misunderstanding? Could Wendy have deceived Jackson into thinking the child was his? Considering Wendy's scheming nature and her ease with lies, Lillian thought it was quite possible. But it still didn't make sense. Jackson wasn't that gullible. Moreover, Jackson had mentioned to Daisy before that Wendy's child wasn't his.

Lillian was in a mess. She was unable to make sense of it all.

Wendy's mocking voice rang out. "With you? Can you inject billions into the Sivan family to help us through hard times? Would you really not mind if I had this child? Even if you don't mind, your family will. And if the Sivan family goes bankrupt, what will I be? Just a mistress, right? I don't trust the love men profess. I only believe in what I can hold in my hands."

"You're really dissolute, but I love that about you. Let's just enjoy the moment, honey, hold still, let me touch you one more time," the man said with a laugh.

Lillian felt nauseous listening to this. Just as she thought it was enough and wanted to withdraw her hand, a three or four-year-old child suddenly emerged from the nearby bushes, locking eyes with her.

Lillian quickly signaled the child to be quiet.

The child grinned and nodded vigorously. Just as Lillian breathed a sigh of relief, he suddenly shouted, "'Grandma, I want to play hide and seek with this pretty sister!'"

"Who's there? Come out!" Wendy yelled.

The two on the other side of the flower wall were clearly alerted. Lillian quickly retracted her hand, got up, and fled with her phone in hand.

Behind her, she heard hurried footsteps. The man had discovered her and was chasing her around the flower wall.

Lillian was scared and didn't dare look back. She only focused on the path ahead and ran faster and faster.

Suddenly, she ran into someone.

Instinctively, she tried to turn and run to the side, but the person grabbed her waist tightly.

The path was winding, so Lillian thought she had been caught.

Her face turned pale, and she opened her mouth to scream for help, but the person seemed to anticipate her reaction and covered her mouth.

Without hesitation, Lillian bit down hard.
