Chapter 520 Back
The car drove into the Frane House, and Jackson got out to personally help Lillian out of the car.
Lyra, having received the news in advance, couldn't wait and came out of the Frane House holding Peggy's hand.
"Lillian, it's really Lillian back!"
Seeing Lyra approaching quickly, Lillian also jogged to meet her.
Seeing Lillian running, Lyra was alarmed and anxiously said to Jackson, "Quick, support her!"
Instead of just supporting Lillian, Jackson bent down and directly picked her up.
Before Lillian could react, Jackson had already carried her to Lyra and then put her down.
Lillian glared at him, and Jackson smirked. "Can't let Grandma scold me."
Seeing their sweet interaction, Lyra was pleased and asked Lillian excitedly, "Lillian, have you and Jackson reconciled?"
Facing Lyra's expectant eyes, Lillian felt guilty and blamed Jackson for causing a misunderstanding.
"Grandma..."
She hesitated, but Jackson calmly helped her explained, "Grandma, I agreed to the divorce, that's why she came back with me."
Lillian was worried that Lyra would be disappointed, but Lyra just held her hand and rolled her eyes at Jackson, saying, "I knew it! You have no ability to comfort others."
Jackson felt a sharp pain in his chest, his pride shattering once again.
He said helplessly, "Let her stay with you. I'll pick her up tomorrow morning to go to State Court. I have some things to take care of at the company."
After saying that, he looked at Lillian and said gently, "I won't be back tonight, so you can stay here comfortably."
He knew that if he came back, Lillian wouldn't feel at ease staying there.
As he turned to leave, Lyra looked at his back and tightly held Lillian's hand, saying, "He sure konws he's annoying. Lillian, let's go inside and you can tell me where you've been all this time."
Lillian smiled and nodded, following Lyra inside, only to find Daisy there as well.
Daisy's eyes were fixed on Lillian's swollen belly.
Instinctively, Lillian protected her belly, trying to block Daisy's view, but Daisy said, "Don't bother. Jeffrey has already found a matching donor and is preparing for surgery next month!"
Lillian was amazed. "Found a matching donor?"
"Yes, you refused to save him, but he was lucky to find someone else. You don't need to avoid it anymore!"
Daisy kept mocking, her eyes filled with cold disdain as she looked at Lillian.
Despite Lillian being pregnant with Jackson's child, who was Daisy's grandchild, Daisy showed no interest in Taylor.
Lyra frowned deeply at Daisy and said, "Enough, why do you keep mocking Lillian? This has nothing to do with you, just leave."
Daisy was used to Lyra being biased towards Lillian. She scoffed, grabbed her bag, and left.
Lillian looked at Lyra and explained, "Grandma, I didn't go abroad to avoid getting tested as a match for Jeffrey. I also arranged with a hospital there to save Taylor's cord blood and send it back after he's born."
Lyra patted Lillian's hand and comforted her, "Of course, I know that. You don't need to explain! Daisy has mental issues, just ignore her."
Meeting Lyra's trusting and loving eyes, Lillian smiled and nodded.
No matter what, it was good news that Jeffrey found a match. Lillian was happy for Jeffrey and felt much relieved.
Otherwise, she would have been under a lot of pressure, continually fearing that Taylor wouldn't be able to save Jeffrey in the end.
It was good that Taylor didn't have to bear such a mission and expectation.
Lillian spent the day eating, walking, and chatting with Lyra. In the afternoon, the lawyer entrusted by Jackson indeed arrived.
