Chapter 292 She Wouldn't Know
Terry felt so wronged and cried. "Mr. Frane, I just wanted Mrs. Frane to feel sorry for you. After all, you got hurt because of her. Once she feels guilty, she will definitely make up with you. I didn't expect such a misunderstanding to happen in the ICU."
Jackson asked again, "Are you seeking a reward?"
Terry laughed and said, "I wouldn't dare. As long as you transfer me back to work by your side, I'll be content."
Seeing that he still dared to joke, Jackson sneered. "Lillian is pregnant. Pregnant women are most afraid of being startled. Luckily, nothing happened. Otherwise, if it affected me becoming a father, you'd be dead!"
Jackson's words were harsh, but his tone and expression were completely different.
The emphasis was on "becoming a father," with a suppressed sense of pride in his voice.
Terry was stunned for a moment, then immediately exclaimed in surprise, "Is Mrs. Frane pregnant? That's wonderful!"
"Why are you so happy about my wife being pregnant?" Jackson's eyes darkened slightly as he asked.
Thinking about how he couldn't calm Lillian down at the ICU door, but she settled down after hearing a few words from Terry, Jackson felt displeased.
Terry felt Jackson's gaze like a blade slicing toward him.
His neck felt cold, and he quickly said, "I'm happy for you. If Mrs. Frane is pregnant, she definitely won't leave you."
Jackson chuckled. "Are you saying my wife staying with me is all because of the child?"
Terry fell silent.
He thought to himself, 'Isn't it because of the child? You should know that yourself.'
But Terry didn't dare to say it. He quickly shook his head and worriedly said, "Mr. Frane, Deborah has been stalking you for so many days, and you let her succeed. You sacrificed yourself to keep Mrs. Frane. If she finds out about this, won't she be angry?"
Deborah had been tailing after Jackson for a long time. They had already found out that she had late-stage pancreatic cancer and wouldn't live much longer.
However, Jackson not only didn't have the bodyguards strengthen the defense, but he also deliberately gave Deborah a chance.
Previously, Terry thought Jackson was confident enough. When he heard that Jackson was stabbed by Deborah, Terry realized that Jackson was waiting for Deborah to harm him.
Otherwise, how could he have been stabbed and just happened to avoid the vital organs?
It looked dangerous, but it wasn't a big deal.
Jackson was simply crazy in love.
Terry felt ashamed for him.
Jackson stared at Terry, squinting his eyes, and said coldly, "If you don't tell her, she won't know!"
Terry felt a chill and quickly shut his mouth.
Lillian took Jackson's angiogram and walked toward the inpatient building.
As the elevator opened, she bumped into Betty.
Lillian instinctively raised her hand to shield her belly and said, "Sorry."
"Sorry." Unexpectedly, Betty apologized at the same time.
When Lillian looked up, she saw that the person she accidentally bumped into was also a pregnant woman.
Betty was obviously pregnant and also raised her hand to protect her belly.
Their synchronized actions made them feel a mutual understanding, and they both laughed.
"Miss, are you pregnant too?" Betty asked first, looking like a kind person.
Lillian nodded. "I'm just over three months. It's not obvious. You look like you're five or six months along, right?"
"No, not even five months yet," Betty smiled and replied.
Lillian looked at her watermelon-sized belly and opened her mouth in surprise, her expression a bit worried.
She thought, 'Why doesn't Taylor show any signs of growing?'
Betty was amused by her expression and said cheerfully, "You look young and inexperienced. Don't worry. Even though you look slim now, after these first three months, your belly will start to grow quickly. It changes every day, just like an inflating balloon."
