Chapter 414 Star's Whereabouts

Just as Lillian took a step, Jackson sped up and vanished at the stairway.

Molly and two clerks were chatting by the first-floor stairs, waiting. When they saw Jackson, Molly stepped forward, but he walked right past her.

"I'll be right soon. Take the person to the hospital, and I'll handle it," Jackson said as he strode out.

Jackson's car was parked outside. Harry got out and opened the rear door for him. Jackson got in, and Harry joined him from the other side.

"Is the info accurate? Verified?" Jackson asked seriously.

News had just come from the border. A villager claimed that sixteen years ago, he saw a girl with a severed finger abandoned in the mountains with a high fever. The time and place matched when and where Star went missing. It could be her.

Jackson's men had brought that villager back to Miracalia.

"The guy's hesitant. He wants to see you before talking, but he seems legit," Harry replied.

Jackson's hands clenched. Over the years, there had been too many false leads. He prayed this one was real, so he could finally find Star. Sixteen years had passed, and seeing Dominic and Susan in pain made him feel guilty. He felt unworthy of happiness, not even the right to pursue it. Thinking Star might still be suffering made him restless and ashamed to face the Price family.

Jackson looked out the window, his gaze piercing through to the second floor of the bridal shop. He thought, 'Lillian, wait a bit longer. Once I find Star, I'll tell everyone at our wedding. Lillian, I love you.'

Molly went upstairs and saw Lillian at the stairway. She smiled, "You look stunning! Want to try other styles? Mrs. Frane, what do you think?"

Lillian snapped out of her thoughts and smiled. "Yeah, the dresses here are all beautiful." She glanced downstairs again.

Molly noticed and said, "Looking for Mr. Frane? He got an urgent call and left."

Lillian didn't expect Jackson to leave early, just leaving her there. Her smile froze, and she nodded to Molly. "This one then. Molly, please help me estimate the size."

Lillian had lost interest in trying on wedding dresses. Molly instructed the clerk to help with measurements. Just then, Lillian's phone rang. It was a video call from Shirley.

Lillian answered, and Shirley's wide-eyed face appeared. "Lillian, you're too much! You're having a wedding and didn't tell me! When I saw your wedding photos with Jackson, I thought they were fake!"

Lillian was surprised. "What wedding photos?"

Shirley said, "You're at Gray's cousin's bridal shop, right? Gray's cousin took them and sent them to Gray to urge him to get married. I saw them."

Lillian didn't expect this. Seeing Shirley's accusing eyes, she comforted, "I didn't mean to hide it. I just haven't had the chance to tell you. A lot's been happening lately."

"Then I'll leave the shoot now to pick you up. You better explain everything, or I'll be mad!"

Shirley pretended to be angry, and Lillian quickly nodded.
