Chapter 350 Breaking Up

Lillian's voice over the phone sounded cold.

Jackson was slightly taken aback, saying, "You misunderstood. I just wanted to make things clear."

Lillian wasn't surprised at all that Daisy would complain to Jackson.

She didn't want to explain anything to Jackson.

She said indifferently, "No need to ask me. Whatever your mom says goes."

Jackson frowned and said, "Lillian, don't throw a tantrum with me."

Lillian felt a pang in her chest and laughed directly. "You're wrong. Women throw tantrums because they want to be coaxed. Is there any use in throwing a tantrum with you? Besides, only those who don't want to break up throw tantrums."

If Lillian decided to leave, she wouldn't throw a tantrum with Jackson.

She would just be disheartened.

Lillian was about to hang up when she heard Star's voice on the phone. "Jackson, you haven't had breakfast yet, right? I had the maid pack some from the hospital cafeteria. Please make do and eat something."

Lillian had heard this voice on the phone before.

To be honest, it wasn't deliberately coquettish or contrived. It was a refreshing female voice, quite pleasant to hear.

Lillian knew it was Star's voice.

She thought, 'No wonder Jackson left in such a hurry. He was rushing to see Star. He probably wasn't working late at the office last night either.'

Lillian sneered and hung up the phone without hesitation.

In the hospital corridor, Jackson held his phone and frowned slightly.

He didn't understand what Lillian had just said, but he felt that Lillian was very unusual, her attitude towards him completely off.

He turned around, gestured to Star behind him to keep quiet, and continued to talk on the phone, asking, "What do you mean by breaking up?"

However, there was no response from the other end of the phone.

Jackson's frown deepened. Now, he was sure that Lillian was angry with him.

He dialed again, but this time it went straight to voicemail.

Jackson remembered Daisy saying that Lillian had run out of the Frane Mansion in anger, feeling uneasy, so he called Terry and instructed, "Find out where Lillian went."

He hung up and then turned around.

"I'm sorry for interrupting you. I didn't notice that you were on the phone," Star apologized.

Jackson said gently, "It was my wife."

Star nodded, and Jackson suddenly asked, "Do pregnant women often throw tantrums for no reason?"

"What?" Star looked surprised.

Obviously, she didn't expect Jackson to ask her such a question.

"My wife was very happy when I left this morning, but she was very angry when I called just now. Now she won't even answer my calls,"  Jackson said confusedly.

Star was stunned and laughed.

"What's so funny?" Jackson frowned slightly.

Star looked embarrassed and quickly waved her hand, saying, "Sorry. I just didn't expect you to be troubled by such things."

Jackson raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why wouldn't I be?"

Star nodded and said with a smile, "You're right. I was being narrow-minded. During pregnancy, a woman's hormones change, making her emotions unstable, so she needs extra care and attention."

As they talked, they walked towards the ward.

At the ward door, Dominic came out with a big smile, along with the doctors.

After the doctors left, Dominic patted Jackson on the shoulder and said, "Jackson, thank you. The doctor said Susan is in a good mood, and her condition has improved. I noticed she looks much better today. You and Star should go in and see her."

In the distance, someone was taking several photos with a phone in their direction.
