Chapter 824

Jackson quickly put Logan's stuff back and said, "Alright, I'll go run a bath for you, Honey."

He turned and headed upstairs, like he was afraid Lillian might change her mind if he took too long.

Holding Logan, Lillian wondered if she was being tricked again. "Do you think he's lying to me?" She asked Logan, who seemed pretty happy, probably because he knew he wasn't going anywhere.

Logan's chubby hands gently patted Lillian's face, then he leaned in and planted a series of wet kisses on her cheeks, leaving her face covered in slobber.

Lillian wrinkled her nose at him. "When you grow up, you better not be like him, okay?"

Logan responded with an even bigger smile, thinking Lillian was making funny faces at him.

Lillian couldn't help but laugh. Seeing her smile, Logan reached out his little hand and pushed her nose upward.

Lillian held Logan's hand and made a pig nose, causing Logan to laugh uncontrollably.

She sat down on the couch with Logan on her lap. "I can't be the only one looking silly. You too, Logan."

She pushed Logan's tiny nose, and he pushed hers back, the two of them having a blast.

When Jackson came downstairs after running the bath, he saw this heartwarming scene.

He stood at the staircase for a moment, watching silently, before walking over and bending down. "Hand him over to me. You go take your bath. You've had a long day, babe."

With that, Jackson scooped Logan up from Lillian's lap.

Lillian's heart skipped a beat. "Be careful! That's not how you hold a baby!"

Jackson had tucked Logan under his arm like a football.

"He's fine. He's not crying or fussing," Jackson said casually.

Lillian jumped up. "No, no, you can't hold him like that. His spine isn't fully developed yet. Hold him properly!"

She urged Jackson, her expression full of concern.

Even though Logan seemed curious and comfortable being carried like that, Lillian's heart was in her throat seeing the tall Jackson holding the baby like a toy.

Jackson noticed how worried Lillian was about Logan, feeling a bit sidelined. He had thought Logan was useful for keeping Lillian around, but now he found the baby quite annoying.

"Babe, you're too worried about Logan. How can you scold me because of him?" Jackson grumbled.

Lillian found him childish and gave him a reproachful look. "Stop it and hold him properly! Logan had a mild concussion today. If he gets hurt again, I'll be mad at you!"

Lillian put her hands on her hips, looking fierce. Jackson, reminded of Logan's concussion, carefully adjusted his hold, supporting Logan's head gently on his shoulder.

"Let's bathe Logan first. Babies get sleepy quickly. A bath will help him sleep better," Lillian suggested.

Jackson had no objections but pretended to be annoyed. "But I ran the bath for my girlfriend."

He looked reluctant.

Lillian couldn't help but smile. She quickly stood on her tiptoes and kissed Jackson on the chin. "I know my boyfriend is capable."

Jackson felt like that kiss had touched his heart. Lillian's sweet praise made him feel light-headed.

His eyes darkened slightly. He was completely wrapped around Lillian's finger, but he didn't mind. In fact, he enjoyed it.

"Let's go, time for a bath," Jackson said, patting Logan's little bottom and taking Lillian's hand as they headed upstairs together.

Logan was cooperative during the bath, not crying or fussing. But it was the first time for both Lillian and Jackson to bathe such a small baby, and they were all over the place.

The bathroom was filled with noise and laughter.

"Logan's slipping!"

"Quick, grab the towel! The soap's getting in his eyes."

"Logan, hold still. We're washing your hair. Stop splashing, Logan!"

Despite the chaos, Logan seemed to enjoy making the adults run around.

Sitting in the tub, Logan splashed the water with his hands, causing Lillian to turn her head away, but she still got soaked.

"Logan! If you splash my girlfriend again, I'll spank you!" Jackson said, his face serious as he moved his hand towards Logan's chubby bottom.

But before he could touch Logan, the baby lifted his bottom slightly and let out a loud fart, bubbles rising to Jackson's fingers.

Jackson froze, clearly disgusted and frustrated. His face darkened.

"Logan!" he called out sternly. Logan seemed startled, his expressive face momentarily blank.

The two of them, one big and one small, stared at each other in silence.

Lillian watched them, her heart suddenly skipping a beat.
