Chapter 188 Jackson Didn't Want a Divorce

Daisy sneered, "Alright. As long as you hurry up and divorce Jackson, you'll be even with the Frane family. I'm not harsh. After all, you grew up in our family. If you encounter difficulties in the future, come to us for help, and I'll help you for Jeffrey's sake."

Lillian surely wouldn't beg Daisy. She just gave Daisy a faint smile, then turned to open the door and left the safe passage.

However, Lillian didn't expect that just after taking two steps, she bumped into Jackson coming out of the adjacent elevator.

His gaze swept over, focusing on Lillian's pale face and reddened eyes.

Lillian was stunned for a moment and quickly lowered her head.

"Jackson," Daisy saw Jackson and said when she emerged from the safe passage.

Jackson's gaze shifted between Daisy and Lillian. Then, he was lost in thought.

Daisy hurried forward and explained, "Lillian came to see Jeffrey. We just talked about Jeffrey's illness. She felt sorry for Jeffrey and even cried."

"Is that so?" Jackson's eyes fixed on Lillian.

Lillian raised her head, looking at him with clear eyes, and nodded.

She said, "I've seen Jeffrey. I can't help much staying here, so I'll leave first."

She then stepped forward and pressed the elevator button.

Daisy grabbed Jackson and said, "Jackson, accompany me to see Dr. James. He's the expert you specifically brought back for Jeffrey. But how come his condition is worse?"

Lillian glanced at Jackson's departing figure and then walked into the elevator.

However, Jackson paused, looked at Daisy with a stern gaze, and asked, "What did you just say to Lillian?"

Daisy frowned and said, "Are you questioning me? I only talked about Jeffrey's illness with her."

Jackson stared at Daisy, sneering. "Do you need to hide in the safe passage to discuss Jeffrey's illness?"

Unable to deceive him, Daisy said irritably, "I didn't say much. I heard that you both signed the divorce agreement, so I asked if it was true."

"Who told you we signed a divorce agreement?" Jackson's eyes turned cold.

He never informed anyone of signing a divorce agreement with Lillian because that agreement would eventually be null and void in his view.

"Lillian told me herself. Otherwise, how could I have known?" Daisy frowned.

She mocked, "Jackson, Lillian is very determined to divorce. She even told me that even if she had to sell her blood and kidneys and beg on the streets to repay five million, she still wanted to cut ties with our family. I have agreed to your divorce."

Jackson suddenly clenched his fists, his eyes filled with gloom.

Fine! Even if Lillian sold her blood and kidneys, she would draw a clear line with him. She really wanted everyone to know that they were about to divorce.

"Jackson, as Lillian's so heartless now, don't go soft. The Franes have taken care of her for so many years, pampering her. She owes our family so much, but she's so ungrateful and even harbors resentment..."

Daisy taunted, but before she could finish her sentence, Jackson interrupted in a cold voice, "Lillian has never owed the Frane family anything!"

"How has she not?" Daisy retorted.

"Lillian had saved Lyra's life, so it's the Franes' duty to take care of her. Since she married me, she is my wife. Doesn't she deserve to be pampered?"

After speaking in a deep voice, Jackson didn't even look at Daisy's extremely dark expression and strode away.

Daisy stared at Jackson's back. She was so angry that she left marks on her million-dollar handbag.
