Chapter 252 "Lillian, What Are You up to Again!"

"Don't bring up Wade. She was the most upright and pure-hearted woman. If she knew you were acting as a homewrecker, she would break your legs herself! Since you say you consider me your grandmother, today I'll teach you on her behalf!" Lyra fumed. Lyra's expression was stern, but her eyes were filled with regret. She felt sorry for Wade, whose granddaughter had turned out this way. Clearly, Lillian had inherited Wade's temperament and character.

Seeing that Lyra was as hard as iron and showed no mercy, Wendy was filled with hatred and suddenly turned her anger towards Lillian. She cried, "Lillian! I know you hate me, but Jackson's child is innocent! He is of the Frane family bloodline. If he is forcibly terminated, it will affect Mrs. Lyra Frane's reputation. Please, help me plead for mercy."

Wendy shouted loudly, hoping to attract attention. But the area had already been sealed off by Lyra's orders.

Wendy's earnest words might have been believable if Lillian hadn't caught her cheating in the garden earlier. At this point, if she admitted the child wasn't Jackson's, Lyra would let her go. But she refused, simply to make Lillian suffer as well.

Since that was the case, Lillian couldn't interfere. When she heard Wendy's words about affecting Lyra's reputation, she felt angrier.

Lillian stepped forward and slapped Wendy hard across her tear-streaked face. She warned, "Wendy, if you don't want to be dragged into the operating room right now, you'd better tell the truth. Otherwise, no one can save you!"

Wendy clutched her face, her expression darkening for a moment.

"Enough, take her to the operating room and proceed with the surgery immediately!" Lyra ordered impatiently.

The servants began dragging Wendy toward the operating room, and Wendy screamed in despair, "I don't want to go in! You have no right to do this. Let me go! This is assault. I'll call the police!"

Lyra spoke again in a deep voice, "Since the child is Jackson's, as his grandmother, I have the right to decide. Unless the child isn't Jackson's at all!"

Lyra still believed in Jackson and thought Wendy was full of lies. She couldn't believe Wendy wouldn't tell the truth at this point.

But to her surprise, Wendy suddenly broke free from the servants, fell to her knees before Lyra, and clung to her legs, crying. "Mrs. Lyra Frane, this is Jackson's child, your great-grandchild! You feel it. He's so big now, almost ready to move. Please, give him a chance to live!"

Lyra frowned. Seeing her tearful and persistent plea, she began to have doubts. Could it really be Jackson's mistake? If so, it would be terrible, and she had called Lillian over, causing her more pain.

As Lyra was troubled, Wendy crawled on her knees and clung to Lillian, begging, "Lillian, I was wrong. I know you don't like me. I know because I was found, my parents had to send you to your biological parents. You're upset and resent me because you've gone from being the heiress of the Sivan family to just an ordinary girl. I can understand why you're always competing with me, even stealing my marriage. But this has nothing to do with my baby. Please, let him live. I promise to raise him myself and never use him to take anything from you. Please."

Lillian felt a chill as Wendy suddenly clung to her, especially around her waist and abdomen. It felt like being entangled by a venomous snake. Instinctively, she wanted to protect her child and pushed Wendy away forcefully, shouting angrily, "Let go of me! Get away. The child in your belly isn't even..."

Before Lillian could finish her angry words, Wendy's scream interrupted her. She had been pushed away by Lillian, hitting the corner of the wall heavily, and blood instantly flowed from her head.

"Lillian, what are you up to again!" Jackson's stern voice suddenly rang out from not far behind Lillian.

Lillian turned around, seeing Jackson striding over, his face cold, his lips tightly pressed together, and his displeased gaze fixed on her. Her face turned pale in an instant.
