Chapter 313 The Price Family Was in Trouble

Jackson smiled slightly and said, "No way, I don't let just anyone manage me."

Lillian felt a pang in her chest, a bit disappointed.

She was about to apologize when she heard Jackson continue, "But if you really want to boss me around, there's a condition."

Lillian's eyelashes fluttered as she asked, "What condition?"

"Every time you nag, you give me a reward," Jackson replied.

"Reward?" Lillian didn't react immediately.

Jackson raised an eyebrow, pointed to his lips, crossed his arms behind his head, and lazily stared at Lillian.

It was clear he wanted her to kiss him.

Under his gaze, Lillian slowly leaned in and quickly pecked his lips.

As she was about to pull away, Jackson held the back of her head and deepened the kiss.

He indulgently savored the sweet taste of her lips until he was satisfied, then released her. He rested his forehead against hers and said in a hoarse voice, "Alright. However, these two documents were urgently sent by Terry. Can you read them to me?"

Lillian, breathless from the kiss, instinctively nodded at his words.

She picked up the documents again and began to read to Jackson.

As she read, she realized something was off.

Her mouth was dry, while he looked completely relaxed!

Never mind. Jackson was injured, so she thought she should let it slide.

Lillian, feeling a bit frustrated, finished reading the documents to Jackson and made two corrections under his dictation.

After she had put down the documents, her mouth was parched, and Jackson had already handed her a glass of water.

Lillian looked up and met his deep, gentle eyes.

Jackson said softly, "Thank you, honey."

He rarely called her honey so earnestly.

Lillian's face instantly blushed. As she reached for the glass, Jackson brought it to her lips, signaling her to open her mouth. Lillian gently parted her lips.

It was just an ordinary glass of water, but it tasted sweet to her.

Sometimes, the sweeter it was, the more she cared and worried.

Lillian untimely thought of Wendy again, recalling her words, and looked at Jackson.

He was smiling at her as he asked, "What's going on?"

Lillian met Jackson's eyes, hesitated, and then said, "Can you not meet Wendy alone in the future?"

Wendy was as obsessive as a lunatic, and Lillian always felt she wouldn't stay quiet.

Jackson looked at her amusedly, not saying a word.

Lillian felt extremely uncomfortable under his gaze and asked angrily, "Are you not agreeing?"

Jackson finally laughed, and his clear voice was unhurried as he said, "Alright, I agree. So, Mrs. Frane, are you this possessive?"

Lillian felt a bit embarrassed, "Men and women are the same. Men have possessiveness, and we women naturally do, too! Anyway, you're my husband, so you should keep a distance from other women, which is a basic decency!"

Jackson chuckled lightly, but before he responded, the door to the ward was knocked.

Harry looked serious and said, "Mr. Frane, the Price Family is in trouble."

Lillian silently stepped aside.

"Spill it," Jackson immediately sat up straight and said.

"Mr. Price's death was leaked early. Now, it's all over the internet, and the Price Group's stock is plummeting. Some people are demanding an explanation on the Price Group's official website. Even some radicals are protesting outside the Price Group building," Harry said while handing the tablet in his hand to Jackson.

Jackson opened the video on it.

A crowd was noisily gathered outside the Price Group's building. The leading man was holding a photo of Henry and writing that the Price Group was greedy and that Henry would never rest in peace.

Jackson looked at Henry's photo, his brow furrowing.

Lillian's face was full of shock. Something flashed in her mind, but she couldn't grasp it.
