Chapter 449

Jackson held back his anger and said coldly, "He was flirting with you right in front of me. I just said a few words, and that was me being generous!"

"Wow, you really set the bar low for yourself," Lillian sneered.

Lillian started to walk away, but Jackson pulled her back.

Lillian gritted her teeth as Jackson said, "Are you really not going after the person who messed with the diary and uploaded it?"

Lillian clenched her fists, turned back, and raised an eyebrow. "It was Wendy, right? Even if you know who did it, what's the point? Would you really hurt her?"

The fake hospital letter and the diary incident were clearly Wendy's doing. She thought being pregnant with the Price family's child meant Jackson would protect her.

"Whether I would or not, you'll have to see for yourself," Jackson replied.

Lillian stopped arguing. She couldn't let Shirley get hurt for nothing. Shirley suspected something was off with Wendy's pregnancy, and Lillian found it strange too. Why did Wendy rush forward when Daisy was about to fall down the stairs?

Jackson took Lillian to Susan's hospital room. Lillian wasn't surprised to find Wendy hiding there, massaging Susan's shoulders. Wendy had an innocent look on her face when they entered with bodyguards.

"Mom, Mr. Frane brought Mrs. Frane to see you."

"Don't you know why we're here?" Lillian sneered.

If it weren't for Wendy, Shirley wouldn't have fallen down the stairs. Wendy was still pretending, and Lillian couldn't stand to see her disgusting act.

"I'm sorry your wedding didn't happen. I understand you're upset and need to vent. But you can't take it out on me; I'm also having a hard time being pregnant," Wendy said, clutching her stomach.

She had been staying by Susan's side, trying to please her. With Henry's child in her belly and her sweet words, Susan had fully accepted her.

Hearing her say her stomach hurt, Susan immediately grabbed Wendy's hand and looked sternly at Lillian. "I've already said you're not welcome here. Get out!"

Lillian sneered. She had endured the constant abuse for Jackson's sake before. Now, she didn't need Jackson anymore. Jackson owed the Price family, but she didn't.

She mocked, "Susan, do you think this is some great place? I don't want to be here either. Once we settle the score, I'll leave. Even if you invite me, I won't come!"

Susan, sick and blind, was usually pampered and hadn't been treated so rudely in a long time. She turned red with anger, trembling all over.

"Jackson! Did you bring her here to anger me to death?" she said furiously.

Jackson, considering her health, let go of Lillian's hand and stepped forward.

"Godmother Susan, my wedding was ruined by Wendy, and the Frane family's reputation is in tatters. If I don't punish the culprit, everyone will think they can bully me! Please stay out of this!"

He patted Susan's hand and then ordered, "Harry, take Ms. Sivan away!"

Harry stepped forward, and Wendy's face changed dramatically. She threw herself onto the bed and hugged Susan.

"Mom, I don't even know what Mr. Frane is talking about! Because my parents found out Mrs. Frane wasn't their biological daughter and sent her away, she's always held a grudge and never liked me. She's slandering me! Mom, I can't go with them. I don't mind suffering, but what about Henry's baby in my belly?"

Susan propped herself up and tightly hugged Wendy. "Unless I'm dead, no one can touch Wendy!"
