Chapter 775
Lillian pushed Jackson into the guest room and then realized she didn't need to follow him in.
She withdrew her hand and urged, "Go take a shower. I'll go check on Shirley."
As she turned around and grabbed the doorknob, Jackson's large hand suddenly reached over from behind her and pressed against the door.
Jackson used a lot of force, the veins on the back of his hand standing out clearly and sensually.
Lillian glanced at it, her heart sinking, her back stiffening.
"Lillian, why are you nervous?" Jackson leaned in close, whispering in Lillian's ear, his voice slightly rising at the end.
Lillian was indeed nervous.
Behind her was a large bed, and Jackson's various physical displays over the past two days made her mind uncontrollably flash with many inappropriate images.
"I'm not nervous. Go take a shower and change out of your wet clothes, so you don't catch a cold and end up relying on me to take care of you."
Jackson had knelt on the mountain all night last night and was still running a fever this morning.
And she had just forgotten about that, urging him to jump into the pool.
Thinking of this, Lillian felt a bit guilty and distressed. She turned around to push him towards the bathroom again to stop him from clinging to her.
But in her haste, she forgot that Jackson was right behind her.
She turned around abruptly, and her lips accidentally brushed against Jackson's neck.
Soft touch, sweet scent.
"You..." Lillian bit her lip, her face turning red.
Jackson lowered his head, his eyes thick and focused on Lillian's rapidly trembling eyelashes.
He interrupted her. "Did you do that on purpose?"
Lillian instinctively raised her head to glare at him, but Jackson was clearly waiting for this moment.
As soon as Lillian raised her head and parted her lips, Jackson, like the most precise hunter, leaned in and kissed her.
Their breaths intertwined, and this time, his kiss was extremely bold, with no hesitation or restraint.
Lillian instinctively closed her eyes, but he pressed her into his embrace with his large hand, deepening the kiss.
His chest was scorching hot, and Lillian felt dizzy from the kiss, as if she was about to be ignited by him.
At some point, she found herself wrapping her arms around his neck.
Jackson felt her response, his heart pounding wildly.
Lillian let out a soft moan and suddenly opened her eyes.
Her gaze was both dazed and panicked.
She didn't know if Jackson had been watching her the whole time, never closing his eyes, or if he had sensed her panic and opened his eyes.
In any case, Lillian found herself falling into Jackson's eyes, which were dangerously close, like a dangerous whirlpool about to swallow her.
She became even more panicked, her body trembling and softening, her eyelashes fluttering helplessly.
She was tormented, not knowing if she wanted Jackson to continue or if she was afraid of him continuing.
But Jackson suddenly withdrew his hand from her back, releasing her and turning his head to catch his breath.
Lillian lowered her head, resting her forehead against his heaving chest, hearing his heartbeat.
It was intense and passionate for her.
Her cheeks still burning, Lillian bit her lip, silently adjusting her breathing, trying to lower her presence.
"Don't bite. I won't touch you."
Even though she had her head down and he couldn't see her.
But Jackson seemed to know her little actions, his deep voice sounding above her head, and his large hand gently pinching her cheek.
Lillian was forced to open her mouth, immediately letting out a short, ambiguous gasp.
Jackson felt the heat surge again, coming on strong.
It was maddening.
Jackson discreetly stepped back a bit, his Adam's apple moving up and down.
Lillian lowered her eyes and saw something she shouldn't have, her face turning red as she quickly looked up.
But clearly, Jackson didn't expect her to do that suddenly.
All that was heard was a loud sound.
Both of them cried out in pain at the same time.
Lillian's head had collided heavily with Jackson's firm chin.
Lillian held her head, tears welling up from the pain.
Jackson wasn't much better off, his teeth hitting his lip, a bright red stain appearing on his thin lips.
He didn't care about himself, hurriedly asking. "Where did it hit? Does it hurt? Don't touch it, let me see!"
Jackson gently held Lillian's small hand, moving it away and parting her thick hair to check her head.
"It's fine. Your mouth? It's bleeding!" Lillian pushed Jackson's hand away, shaking her head.
But when she saw the blood continuously seeping from Jackson's lip, she was startled.
Clearly, Jackson's injury was more severe.
Jackson lightly licked the blood on his lip, "Just a small cut."
Lillian met his gaze, and they both fell silent for a couple of seconds, then suddenly burst into laughter.
It was a bit a bit awkward, and a bit funny.
With that laughter, the previously heated atmosphere dissipated a lot. Jackson took a deep breath, completely calming down.
He reached out, once again moving towards Lillian's waist.
Lillian, thinking of the earlier heated contact, instinctively crossed her arms over her chest.
But Jackson only grabbed the hem of her disheveled shirt, helping her tuck it back into her skirt.
"No rush, let me chase you a bit more. This time, we'll take it slow."
Jackson's words were gentle and soft.
It was unclear if he was saying it to himself or to Lillian.
But to Lillian, it sounded like she was the one in a hurry.
Her cheeks flushed again, and she glared at him in embarrassment. "Who's in a hurry!"
"Me! I thought you understood that very clearly just now." Jackson teased.
Lillian met his gaze, her face turning red and her heart racing, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed.
She shouldn't have responded to him!
Jackson saw her reaction, his thin lips curving slightly, and he reached out to help her tidy her hair.
"Alright, I'll go shower. I was going to ask you to check with Gray if there are any clean clothes for me to change into, but you seemed so nervous that you didn't let me finish."
Lillian felt shy.
Could he just shut up?
She pushed Jackson away, lowering her head, "I'll go ask."
Lillian said, turning around and quickly opening the door to slip out.
