Chapter 451
"You sharp-tongued bitch!" Dominic sneered.
"Not as bad as you with your holier-than-thou act," Lillian shot back.
Dominic's face darkened. "Jackson, are you just going to let her act like this?"
Jackson's lips parted slightly. "Shirley did save Wendy; there's video proof."
He raised his hand, and Terry handed him a tablet. Jackson's fingers tapped on it.
A secretly recorded video played, showing Wendy rushing out during the conflict, screaming with Daisy, and falling toward the stairs, only to be pushed away to safety by Shirley.
The evidence was clear, and Dominic's face darkened.
Star stood up and gently said, "Dad, Ms. James did save Wendy. We should thank her."
She then looked at Jackson. "Jackson, my dad didn't know the truth and was worried about my mom. He was a bit impulsive. I apologize on his behalf. Is Ms. James okay? I'll personally bring a gift to thank her for saving Henry's only bloodline."
Star was understanding and considerate.
Lillian, however, found it amusing. Shirley was her friend.
She was here to seek justice for Shirley. Did Star think she didn't exist?
She chuckled softly and spoke up before Jackson could, "Alright! Since Miss Price acknowledges Shirley's big act of kindness, I'll thank Miss Price on Shirley's behalf. Henry's child is very precious. I'll be watching to see how sincere the Price family is."
Star looked at Lillian in shock. She hadn't expected this reaction from Lillian.
Shouldn't Lillian feel that the Price family's offer of money was an insult?
Lillian smiled at Star. "Miss Price, you suggested it yourself. Why the expression now? Or was it just empty words with no intention of action?"
Star quickly shook her head and smiled. "You're Jackson's wife, right? Can I call you Lillian? Lillian, don't misunderstand. I was just thinking about how to properly thank Ms. James."
Seeing the conversation veer off-topic, Jackson interjected, "We'll discuss this matter later."
He said it to help Star out of the situation.
Lillian thought she would feel pain, but her heart was numb, and she felt little.
"Godfather Dominic, the diary has been found to be a forgery by Wendy, who hired professionals to get the dirty deed done. Wendy also bribed a hotel staff to upload the video to the big screen, causing the wedding chaos! No one can protect her today; she must be handed over to me!"
If not for this, the subsequent incidents wouldn't have occurred.
Had he arrived in time, the wedding would have continued, and it wouldn't have turned out like this.
Thinking of Lillian's repulsed and disgusted look, Jackson gazed at Wendy as if looking at a dying person.
Wendy, meeting Jackson's icy gaze, shrank back and clung to Susan with a pale face.
Susan immediately said, "What diary? Jackson, do you have evidence?"
Jackson raised his hand, and Terry handed an investigation report to Dominic.
"Mr. Dominic Price, we've identified the technician who helped Wendy forge the diary. Here are his records and the transfer records from Wendy's account.
"Wendy bribed the hotel staff, not directly, and the transaction was in cash, but the person who handled it was one of Allen's people."
Dominic frowned. "Allen Murray? Allen from the Murray family? Why would he help Wendy?"
Lillian, hearing this, remembered the welcome party for Kevin's return, where Allen was also present.
During the dance floor kiss frenzy, she saw Wendy kissing a man on stage.
Later, at the hospital, she photographed Wendy on a date but didn't see the man's face, though his voice sounded familiar.
Could it be Allen?
Yes, the Murray family ran a hotel, and during her interview with Alice, she was drugged with a sedative.
That hotel seemed to be owned by the Murray family.
Could the child Wendy was carrying actually be Allen's?
If that were the case, Wendy's fate was sealed.
