Chapter 143 He Was So Bad
The voice was so familiar.
But how could it be Jackson? He should be by Wendy's side right now.
Lillian felt like she was still in a hallucination at the moment, and it was ridiculous.
"Lillian! It was you who's showing off before. Why are you pretending to be weak and pitiful now?"
However, Jackson's voice sounded again from above.
Lillian slowly raised her head, and it was only then that Jackson noticed that her eyes were abnormally red.
Especially her right eye, as if it was filled with tears of blood.
"What's wrong with your eyes?"
Jackson frowned, bent down, and was about to reach out to touch Lillian's cheek.
Lillian who had been staring blankly suddenly seemed to come to her senses, and with a sudden force, she pushed away Jackson's hand.
A crisp sound hit Jackson's hand back.
"Go away! I don't need you to care!"
Lillian lowered her head and propped herself up on the ground, trying to stand up.
She didn't want to show this embarrassed appearance to Jackson anymore.
But her resistance and rejection made Jackson's heart tighten, and his face changed.
When did she stop relying on him and started pushing him away?
He only knew that he hated this feeling, which caused a sense of loss of control and panic slowly growing in his heart.
"You made a big fuss, but now you feel wronged! Don't move!"
Jackson said coldly. His arm passed through Lillian's knees and lifted her.
Lillian's body suddenly went airborne, her eyes stinging and unable to open. Out of fear, she instinctively reached out to wrap her arms around his neck, and her cold body pressed against his.
Jackson's cold face softened slightly, and he bent down to carry her into the car.
She was in a bad state.
Her hair and body were all wet and covered in dirt. The jeans on her knees were torn, oozing blood.
Under her messy long hair, her small face was pale, and her eyes were swollen. She was stubborn yet vulnerable, full of contradictions.
"Go to the hospital," Jackson ordered in a deep voice.
The car immediately sped away, and the partition silently rose.
Jackson reached out and touched Lillian's small face.
Lillian couldn't open her eyes, tears uncontrollably streaming down. She felt fragile and uneasy inside.
When he touched her, she awkwardly turned her head away.
"Are you holding a grudge?" Jackson said.
His movements paused slightly. He knew Lillian was angry because he had left her just now and not believed her.
A hint of regret flashed between his eyebrows, he hadn't realized at the time that her eyes were injured.
"Where do I have the right to hold a grudge? I only deserve to remember the kindness of the Franes to me," Lillian turned her head away and said coldly.
Jackson's fingers were warm, gently brushing away the messy strands of hair on her face, and his palm touched her cheek.
"Speak nicely," Jackson said.
Lillian kept her face cold, closed her mouth, and once again turned her neck to shake off his hand.
She felt annoyed as he had just held Wendy with that hand of his. Did he touch Wendy's hair and wiped the corners of her eyes just like he was doing for her now?
She felt Jackson stiffen. He didn't have much patience for her, and Lillian was waiting for him to get angry again and throw her out of the car.
However, at the next moment, Jackson's warm and familiar breath suddenly approached, and a soft kiss landed on Lillian's forehead.
It was gentle, soothing, and full of pity.
Lillian stiffened again.
Jackson put his forehead against hers, and he let out a soft sigh.
His breath brushed against Lillian's nose, tickling her.
He said, "I was wrong. Don't hold it against me. You're hurt, so let me take a look."
Lillian couldn't tell if her eyes were uncomfortable or if her heart was hurting.
Tears rolled down from her tightly closed eyelashes, dropping onto the back of Jackson's hand as he touched her cheek.
Jackson gulped, feeling his whole heart being shaken by her crying.
"Alright, let me take a look."
He lifted her chin, and Lillian didn't dodge this time.
Jackson was her weakness, so she couldn't resist the warmth he provided.
He was really bad. He knew it all.
